Memorial Park — Attraction in Tarentum

WOW, WOW, WOW! THIS IS EDITED Oct 2024- Even though fall is here, this place is still sparkling clean and is so 😊cheerful! If I could give this park more than 5 stars I definitely would ✨️! I constantly am cleaning up all TYPES of litter at Burrell Lake Park. I actually looked for anything at all and found NOTHING. YOUR WATER IN THE CREEK IS EVEN SPOTLESS! I applaud 👏 everything and anything you are doing to make this place so so beautiful. The flowers are absolutely gorgeous. I work for a Greenhouse so I definitely appreciate all the hard work that went into ALL OF THAT. IT LOOKS LIKE A PICTURE OUT OF "BETTER HOMES AND GARDENS" magazine. I can't get over the clarity of the water. I seen so many seed dispersing beautiful animals while I was there as well. U have beautiful woodpeckers and adorable chipmunks. I seen 4 baby rabbits who must've JUST left mom. So tiny yet but doing well. Bc u created a wonderful home for all of these glorious animals. I rescue waterfowl. I wish u had a Lake here bc I would bring all the waterfowl who got injured AT ANOTHER CLOSE BY PARK (WHO ALSO HAS FILTHY WATER BTW) HERE TO LIVE OUT THEIR LIVES. But u don't. I do appreciate everything u do and all the hard hard work it must take for this place to be as beautiful as it is. This is like the 3rd yr I am doing reviews for parks (mostly bc I rescue wildlife) and you keep getting better and better...

This park is super nice. Has a creek to play in. Has two diff jungle gyms with slides. However it’s lost a star and here is the reason - the bigger jungle gym is sooooo high off the ground. Due to the ground shifting I guess, but it makes for some issues with the younger ones. I have a two year old and it actually scares me when he goes down the slide. The drop off the slide is high enuf to get pretty hurt. Aside from this, it’s nice. Several pavilions with grills. The grills are smaller but there are plenty. It makes for a nice place for the family to have a 30 min stop, or several hours. There are walking trails and courts for people who wanna...

Lovely park with plenty of amenities. Slight litter problem.

There is a nice long walking trail, a deck hockey rink, a baseball diamond cage + plates, multiple basketball courts and a soccer-sized field here. Also beautifully chaotic landscaping provided by local a generous local gardener.

The only downside is it seems (like most public areas in the towns surrounding) that there is a pretty serious littering problem at the Memorial park. It's pretty frustrating, especially because there are trash cans all over the park.

Anyways, if you see some garbage, pick it up and toss it in a can, if you can 🗑 Keep Pennsylvania...
