Nice and spacious with plenty of terrain features, but near the door you'll notice a small sign in which is provided the prices for Taylorsville dog licenses. It gives rates for both residents and non-residents of Taylorsville, and that's because--although the sign itself doesn't say this--you must have a Taylorsville dog license to use the park. If you don't, you're liable to be fined by the city code enforcement officer you likes to drop by. I'm not sure exactly what the fines for non-licensed dogs are, but I believe it's around $50 for the first ticket. Again, valid dog licenses from other cities don't qualify in this park, even though the do in every other park in the valley that I'm aware of. So watch out for this little revenue generating scheme if you're planning to use the park and didn't register your dog in Taylorsville. Or better yet, just go up to...

I really enjoy this dog park. I have only been two times with my lab, but it's very well kept, and I have yet to have a bad experience. My favorite part is knowing that there is a large gated area and a small gated area. I personally like to use the small area to do some training, but it could also be used for smaller dogs who want the park experience but have a hard time being around big dogs/more reactive dogs who need to get used to it first. The small area is only grass, while the large area is a mix of rock, grass, wood chips, trees, cement pipes, and large rocks.

Just be sure to follow park rules to always make this a good experience for you and your dog...

If this was a free park I would give it a three. The drain in the water bowl for the pups is clogged and the entire park is full of poop and there is dust floating in the air everywhere from the dogs playing. There were a lot of bags in the dispensers to easily dispose of the dog waste. The sidewalk was also full of debris throughout the entire park and part of the structural integrity of the gazebos are falling apart. All of this could be fixed by the city so hopefully the parks department can change the minds of people like me or quit gatekeeping a park that isn't...

This park is closed on Tuesday, so plan accordingly. I can't decide about this dog park. Yes, it is a wide open space for dogs to run around and be social, but there is no supervision so... Yes, there is rocks and wood chips, but there is a good deal of dirt, so it could get messy if wet. It has a lot of fake fire hydrants, a tunnel and big rocks to play on, but that is about it. It has a paved walking path around the perimeter. Having said that this dog park is one of the rwo I have seen so far, so I guess it is good to be grateful for what there is.

This is my neighborhood park just walk down the road and I have this amazing free place..it has all a fenced dog park, where they can run and socialize, fun mos times, in front is the kids stuff, swings and all, then Baseball and soccer and all outdoor games, no tenis.a path to walk around, a fish pond...its beautiful and close to the Jordan River conservation project. Got to come and enjoy!!

I used to love this dog park but now the city of Taylorsville is requiring that you pay them $10-$25 a year per dog and put ANOTHER tag on your pets just to go here. THIS IS WHAT TAX MONEY IS FOR! I am so ashamed of the Taylorsville Park's and recreation department for misappropriating the tax funds given to them so bad they have to do this to cover their butts.
