Iâm not sure why this place has so many great reviews. I just moved to Arizona and needed a nail salon as I get acrylics regularly. I spent a lot of time researching and chose this place because the reviews were so good. I came in for simple almond shape nails. The nails I received here were beyond bad. I donât like complaining and hardly do and my mom is the same way, so I sent her a picture and asked what she thought, because if she thinks I should complain then there is definitely something wrong. She told me she didnât know how I got out of the chair with my nails looking like this. I hadnât left the parking lot so I went back inside and asked to get them fixed. The staff were kind and agreed with me that the nails looked bad. The manager was kind and fixed them. I was at this salon for almost 5 hours solely because of their mistake which was frustrating, and still paid full price + tip. Never in my 6 years of getting acrylics have I EVER had a nail just pop off. I was a volleyball player throughout high school and college, and would spend sometimes 8 hours a day playing VOLLEYBALL and NEVER had a nail just pop off, even 4 weeks after the service. 1 week after receiving these nails I had a nail pop off from simply typing on a keyboard. Yes Iâm being serious. After this happened I took my loss and decided I wouldnât be going back due to quality. However, the following week I had another nail pop off while typing at work AGAIN, so I decided to contact the salon to get them fixed. After spending 4+ hours of my time there last time, paying full price, and having 2 nails pop off so soon, the only reason I went back to them was because I didnât want to pay full price at another salon and when I called they made it seem like I would be getting a generous discount for the several inconveniences. Since the nails had been slightly grown out I was scheduled for a fill and to get the broken nails fixed. I didnât expect the service to be free as I was getting a fill (even though they honestly should have because of my experience), however when I came to the counter they offered me a whopping 10% OFF. What is that, the taxes? I had to ask for a better discount which I shouldnât have to, and even then the best they could do was 20%. I spent way too much money and time here for such an experience. I donât live too close so for me to drive all this way was truly annoying. I donât know about their other services but I wouldnât get...
Read moreI recently visited OMG Nails for a much-needed treat after a long workday. While this was my third visit to the salon, I feel compelled to share both the highs and lows of this particular experience in hopes of providing constructive feedback.
đ Pedicure Experience â 5 Stars From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed warmly with smiles and an upbeat energy. I arrived as a walk-in and was pleased with how accommodating the staff were. The young lady who performed my pedicure (I regret not catching her name) was exceptional. She took her time and made me feel relaxed and valued, never once rushing through the service. I especially appreciated the flexibility they offeredâallowing me to do the manicure and pedicure either simultaneously or separately. Since I had no other engagements, I opted for separate services and thoroughly enjoyed the tranquil, attentive pedicure.
đ Manicure Experience â Unfortunately, Disappointing After the pedicure, I moved to the manicure station. Sadly, this part of my visit did not meet the standards I had come to expect from OMG Nails. The technicianâAshleyâseemed visibly disinterested from the start. It almost felt as if serving me was an obligation rather than a part of her professional role.
Throughout the session, she spent more time chatting in another language with nearby colleagues and taking phone calls than focusing on the service. After more than 2.5 hours, my nails were left to sit in front of a fan, and the end result simply didnât reflect the quality or care that defines the rest of the salon. Within just 2 days, my manicure had deteriorated, which was deeply disappointing.
â Final Thoughts I want to emphasize that OMG Nails is a fantastic salon with incredible staff and a welcoming atmosphere. My prior visitsâand this recent pedicureâhave all been wonderful. However, I cannot recommend Ashley based on this experience. While one technician doesnât define an entire establishment, consistency is important, and this deviation stood out starkly.
I will definitely be returning, but I will ensure that Ashley is not my nail technician in the future. I hope this feedback helps OMG Nails maintain its high standards...
Read moreAs nice as the nail bar was did not make up for the terrible service aftermath. First day (Monday) of vacation went with my best friend and her mom to get our nails done! At first the atmosphere was inviting and welcoming, the gentlemen who checked us in was polite, made sure and double checked what each of us was getting. My best friend got Gex x with polish, simple right. Tuesday, both thumb nails came off and we had to return to get them fixed, all was good. Until Wednesday a pinky nail came off and we had to return once again to get it fixed. Asked for partial refund for the inconvenience, gave $28( 25%) on a set she paid $80 for. I applaud them for being nice and not rude especially since I wasnât a helicopter customer and understood things happen, however for us to be from out of state and have to come back two days in a row to get a set fixed is ridiculous. Her mom got a structure gel full set with blue chrome polished, it cracked after 4 days. Iâm surprised my own set help up okay for I fear when i get home from the trip theyâll come off as well. I suggest going to a different location because this is only one location of three. I hope they learn from this experience and if I ever visit Tempe again I will not be going to this location, unless I get the same amazing tech I had I thank the nail techs that did the fixes! Itâs disappointing that weâve paid less money for the same sets back home and they last for...
