We had the pleasure of visiting Wild Hare this past weekend. We did had enjoyed the spirits and then took the tour. The tour was amazing. Informational and enjoyable. It was done in a way that invited questions but gave a peek into the process. Most importantly there was no "gatekeeping". You could truly feel how much they cared about their product and most of all their customers satisfaction with their spirits. Really really good and highly recommended. The overall experience with top notch. Wendy and Jim were welcoming and it felt like they opened their home to my group. On to the tasting. Some of the best spirits I've ever had. The Chocolate Covered Cherry Old Fashion is hands down the best drink that I've ever had. During the tasting came across the Rye 90 and it's as smooth as butter. I asked to purchase a bottle and was obliged immediately.....I mentioned how my son's baseball number in college was #33 and Jim replaced my Rye 90 Bottle labeled #6 with #33. Something I'll never forget. What a great touch and they have a customer for life now. Meant a lot to me that he would go in the back and find that bottle for me. Wendy was amazing as well and her personality was one that was equally as engaging as Jim's. She makes a great drink and is even better in conversation! I couldnt recommend the people and the spirits anymore. Wild Hare is a gem. A diamond in the desert. Stop by you...
Read moreI took my Boyfriend for a Tour and Tasting as an anniversary gift and it was amazing! The whole experience felt so relaxed and comfortable while we got to go into the back and see everything. To the point where they even would pull out ingredients so we could smell them or open barrels that were going at the moment so we could see inside and smell those too. It was so great that it inspired my boyfriend to even get back into wanting to make mead again.
The tasting was all delicious, they have flavors for different types of people, whether you go for a stronger taste or a more laid back. We bought a bottle and so did the couple that we did the tour with because we had to have it. They were generous with how much we got to taste, and even made us all a mixed drink with one of them to try out (which inspired me to get the Cinnamon Tequila they have right now). It has honestly become my new mixed drink to make at home (with lemon and agave).
I 100% recommend doing the tour, but at the very least, go try their product 'Drove' I think one of the places they mentioned it to be at was Total Wine, but you can get it online as...
Read moreI met the owners of this local distillery last year when I needed some unique Christmas gifts for some clients. I called them and they answered their phone, after hours, and came down to their facility just to accommodate me. What I found was a really cool place to go and tour how product is made, and to sample some of that product in their little “speakeasy“ front counter area. These people make incredible agave spirits, (also known as “tequila” if it was for Mexico), as well as EXCEPTIONALLY smooth whiskey, bourbon, and other unique spirits. I really hope this business thrives and expands because they are slaves to their craft and deserve to have their products in the hands...
