Kiwanis Lake — Attraction in Tempe

This is a very nice scenic urban lake located in Tempe. The water is clear and I enjoy seeing the ducks just floating happily around.

If you want a peace and quiet, I would reccomend going before 8:30 am in the morning on weekends. After that, then it gets pretty busy with the fishermen and people looking to get some exercise in. Have been at lake and in the area dozen times. For this person each visit feels like a thankyou and do it again. For myself a visit is simplistic. Many small and simple scenes. I enjoy watching an off leash dog chasing a car who hopes to kill one of the many beautiful birds. There are an unending variety of angles and ways of looking. Good experience..took a walk around the lake and stopped at the snack bar for water. But the lake itself was really dirty and that day I saw 3 dead fish and a bird floating in the water. They could do a better job skimming the edges for trash...
