This park is incredible. It tastefully commemorates the service of the men and women from the Greater Tampa Area who have served our nation in past armed conflicts. Several pieces of actual military equipment (a tank, 2 helos, etc.) are on display in their respective areas. The museum is small but very interesting; it is staffed solely by volunteers and is almost always open whenever the park is open. A VA office is housed in the expanded veterans' resource center. Restrooms are available as well as a few covered pavilions. This is a perfect place for rest, small family gatherings, expressing gratitude, and quiet relection. Well...

Park Rangers are constantly keeping things nice and tidy. Helps when people who use the park and fitness trail help out. Take your trash with you. Keep your dogs leashed and clean up their waste. This is a beautiful human use park area. Please be mindful that not everyone is used to animals. Leash and heel in your dog. Take the dogs to a dog park to let them run free! They allow fishing along the bypass canal there and I've heard that people have caught some big bass there from 10-12# during spawning season.
