Upon checking in we were surprised with how nice the room actually looked and smelled. The room smelled nice as if it were just cleaned with Fabuloso. As we start checking the room for cleanliness and unpacking, I immediately notice hair all over one of the face towels. I was unsure if it was pubic hair or underarm hair. Either way I was disgusted. Why is there hair in the towels that are supposed to be clean? That didn’t compare to the surprise that was coming next. A CRACK PIPE inside of the drawer. Yes, you read correctly CRACK PIPE. We immediately went to the front desk to inform them of both things. The guy at the front had the AUDACITY to ask us if we threw it away. EXCUSE ME. Why would we throw anything away that was supposed to be cleaned by your staff. It goes to show that they DO NOT really clean those room thoroughly. We were moved to a different room. In the new room there was NO HOT WATER at all. I had to clean myself in the sink because that water was actually hot. The sheets were stained. I’m beyond disgusted by this hotel. We were awaken by dogs barking at 8am. I DO NOT recommend this hotel unless you enjoy crack pipes, barking dogs, no hot water, and dirty...
Read moreMy stay at Wyndham Garden Tampa was disappointing due to several service and cleanliness issues. The front desk staff at check-in, Alex, was a bit rude, and I had to call customer service to get the situation sorted out. When I finally got to my room (209), I found used condoms on the floor. I was moved to another room (409), but then the cable didn’t work.
Alex eventually came up and fixed the cable, and I was finally able to get some rest. The next morning, after all the chaos from the night before, I woke up late and asked housekeeping for a little patience while I showered — but they knocked multiple times and even brought another staff member to my door. I was done by noon, but it felt like I wasn’t given any understanding at all.
I was never offered compensation for the trouble, and I also found it strange that the incidental hold was $150 for a $135 room — something that wasn’t made clear before booking.
I don’t think this is a bad hotel overall, but the service and professionalism definitely need improvement. Thank God the HotelTonight customer service rep helped get...
Read moreCame down for a concert and the venue was literally across the street so this was a very convenient location. AC was ice cold which was perfect in a Florida summer. Pool was empty of people so we had it to ourselves. Bed was comfy and i like that you can put two different shades down on the window whether you want light but still have privacy or complete darkness. Tv had a lot of channels to choose from. Very clean hotel with a cool little convenience store in the lobby. Loved all the counter space in the room. It was perfect for doing makeup. There is also a fridge in the room, but we didn’t use it.
The bathroom was a mixed bag. The counter is huge with plenty of space for your toiletries and the shower head is very cool with different settings. However, the bathroom door was a little difficult to shut and the shower does leak water onto the floor (like a lot) so put a lot of towels down lol. There are also no shelves in the shower if you bring your own stuff, but the shower does have a shampoo conditioner and body wash dispenser.
Everyone on staff was...
