Bethel Rd. Distillery & Winery — Attraction in Templeton

Absolutely beautiful setting on top of the hill on Bethel Road overlooking the surrounding vineyards. Really great people running this place, very friendly and informative. The Grappa is a great experience that makes me miss Italy. Their Moscato Grappa is delicious, they are definitely focused on creating a great quality product. The Brandy they have is among some of the best I've tried from small distillers. I'll definitely be back to buy a couple bottles next time I'm in the area. As for the winery they didn't have anything for sale in the bottle yet, but its a great place to enjoy their wines on tap. We ordered a glass each and took them outside to enjoy the beautiful day. A really nice find off route 46 and an added bonus as this place is both a distillery and winery. Found this on the SLO Distillery Trail map which is so cool! The spirits were great especially the Nocino and Orange liqueurs. The Nocino was a real treat as it has a walnut, cinnamon and clove flavor which was very unique. The Orange Muscat brandy was also a real treat. The wines all were great, especially the Syrah and Primitivo. Staff were friendly and very knowledgeable, spending time sharing the history of the winery as well as going over the origins of each of the wines and spirits in detail. Pup friendly location with grappa, nocino, gin and brandy to taste. Today was pretty busy but the tasting room attendant did really well spending time with each group AND their pups.
