I went to Peachy Cannon yesterday as the first stop on a wine circuit that I had planned out for my sisters birthday. We are both local to SLO and haven't had too much experience with wine so we were exited to get to try some local wines and educate ourselves. We arrived and took some great pictures in an over-sized chair the site looked rather nice. It wasn't until we went into the tasting room that the experience went south. I walked in and explained to the attendant that my sister and I would like to do tastings to find out what we like and I placed my I.D and the cash for the tasting fees on the counter. I got a very smug look from the attendant and the way we were treated was very catty and unfriendly. I guess she had assumed we planned on not making any purchases that day and decided we weren't worth the effort of good customer service. I tried a few wines and headed on to the next stop on our circuit. The rest of our experiences were amazing compared to this stop. Check out my other reviews I will be posting later this week for my recommendations in...
Read moreVery disappointing experience at this winery. My family and i were very excited to begin our wine tasting journey at this winery for my birthday, but i must say that the level of respect and customer service was horrendous on December 28. We actually had paid for a tasting and decided to walk out because the woman attending us or rather lack there of, was extremely rude. My mother had requested to taste a wine listed on the tasting list but was told "no", followed by "I don't have that open." The woman walked off and no longer engaged us. We were prepared to purchase an ample amount of wine for a family event, but chose not to because of our experience. I'm certain the wine most likely would have been delicious, but the attendant made the experience so unwelcoming that we couldn't even enjoy the tasting we...
Read moreWould give a zero star, Not happy!!! We did the zoo to you event. We kindly told the tasting room attendant that we were going to go see the camel and would be right back. She said that was fine, but they weren't pouring anymore for the event - it ended at 3:00, we arrived at 3:04pm, not only was their animal (camel) still out, they had a number of people in their winery, they close at 5:00, but wouldn't honor our passport! We have done this event for 3 years and have never had a winery in all of Paso refuse to pour their wines, minutes after an event's "end time." Guess you are doing so well you don't need customers. By the way we belong to 11 wine clubs in Paso and are always looking for number 12. Guess we will look...
