Greenbrook Nature Sanctuary (Membership Required) — Attraction in Tenafly

Like many people in the pandemic, I found Greenbrook while trying to be closer to nature. It is a hidden gem nestled away along the Palisades. It is a membership only Park as the focus is primarily on conversation of the land through funds. It has a number of well maintained hiking trails and ample parking is available inside the park. Members are mailed a key that goes with the lock on the gate. A membership form can be found on the gate or at the Palisades interstate parkway website. I called to ask about their hours and they mentioned you have to pay for a membership to hike there and you cannot even go inside to take a look and see if you want to invest in getting a membership haha And if they are offering a visitor hike they only offer that two times a year and they haven’t done that in 2 years. When I called they answered the phone like it was their personal phone and it sounded like I called the wrong number, I had to ask if I was calling the right place. This place is incredible so beautiful I love it here. The one thing you have to be a member and it's a annual fee. You go hiking I love the butterflies. You could go anytime and you have a key because the gates are locked all the time. Only you say it's beautiful overlooking New York City. Skyline is incredible. The view is gorgeous. It's Breathless. The annual fee is one person $40 a family is $60 for the year. So you know once you go in you have to lock the gate behind you. You cannot bring no pets with you. No smoking.
