We spent the weekend here and really enjoyed the lake. We had two campsites and one of the cabins. The beaches were clean and the water was cool. I enjoyed the small cabin as it has cold airconditioning! When my smaller grandchildren got tired I could take them inside to rest and cool down. I did have to de-spider the cabin some but I came prepared since it’s just part of life in the summertime. The cabin had a porch, and then a cement area with a picnic table and grill. It was perfect for watching the sunrise. My granddaughter got to see her very first sunrise! Kids fished and swung on the swings, we shopped in the little store and had a wonderful time altogether. My biggest issue with the lake is that the trash receptacles are kind of far away and not placed in great areas. Wish they would place receptacles on the beach, kind of near the back. Would make disposing of garbage a lot easier to ensure that none of it ends up...
Read moreGreat place to hang out with your camping buddies, very nice small lake. Most campsites are shaded and have a concrete pad for your RV. Something I found to be unique is the campground RV dump station has all the hoses and are attached to the dump station. You just pull up and connect the dump hose and water hose if you have a black tank flush system on your RV and pull your valves. I really liked that feature. Some sites have full hookups. Theirs a boat ramp and a swim beach. The town of Hawkins is close by. The campground is under a tower of tall East Texas pine trees. We are...
