We spent the weekend here and really enjoyed the lake. We had two campsites and one of the cabins. The beaches were clean and the water was cool. I enjoyed the small cabin as it has cold airconditioning! When my smaller grandchildren got tired I could take them inside to rest and cool down. I did have to de-spider the cabin some but I came prepared since it’s just part of life in the summertime. The cabin had a porch, and then a cement area with a picnic table and grill. It was perfect for watching the sunrise. My granddaughter got to see her very first sunrise! Kids fished and swung on the swings, we shopped in the little store and had a wonderful time altogether. I do have to mention the little store as you come into the park though. You have to go inside! It’s quaint and very nice, supplying pretty much anything you need and the staff are wonderful!

Beautiful lake clean waters surrounded by a large variety of homes... There are some very clean well kept RV parks near and on the lake with a wonderful sandy beach with a large swimming area! Several nice public boat ramps are around the lake with some having overnight and weekly camping sites all with porta pottie access... The area around the lake is clean! Areas are well maintained and the local residents are quite friendly especially if you're not being disrespectful to your fellow campers or the local homeowners as this is not lake Lewisville...

We moved to the lake a year ago as full time residents. It's almost like living on Golden Pond, it's smaller than many large lakes in the area, but there aren't any no-wake areas or horsepower restrictions. A great place to fish or ski/board/tube. Or just sit and watch the sunset.

Super cheap to get in, only like $3 or $4 per person. This lake has more of a "beach" feel since it has sand instead of dirt/grass/rocks which is really nice. Areas are kept clean, bathrooms are clean as well. Gators have been spotted here recently though, a baby gator was spotted when we were there so that's kind of terrifying. My biggest issue with the lake is that the trash receptacles are kind of far away and not placed in great areas. Wish they would place receptacles on the beach, kind of near the back. Would make disposing of garbage a lot easier to ensure that none of it ends up...

Great place to hang out with your camping buddies, very nice small lake. Most campsites are shaded and have a concrete pad for your RV. Something I found to be unique is the campground RV dump station has all the hoses and are attached to the dump station. You just pull up and connect the dump hose and water hose if you have a black tank flush system on your RV and pull your valves. I really liked that feature. Some sites have full hookups. Theirs a boat ramp and a swim beach. The town of Hawkins is close by. The campground is under a tower of tall East Texas pine trees. We are...
