I’ve been going to this restaurant for years, and have only had some minor complaints a couple of times, so I’m surprised to see negative ones. Usually the service is great, although turnaround in this area is high so on the occasions we have had dense servers, I don’t take it personally. 9/10 times we are very pleased with our servers!

The food is AMAZING. Not sure where these people saying it’s frozen are getting that idea, because everything I’ve tried obviously is not.

The bread at the beginning is always delicious. I’m a salad person, but if you’re given the choice between the soup or salad.. ALWAYS choose the SOUP. Their tortellini is my favorite soup EVER. My kids are obsessed with it as well!

I have a hard time trying things other than the Spicy Chicken Murphy. It is so delicious, there’s no way anything else can top it in my opinion. However, my kids love their spaghetti and meat sauce and my husband usually orders pizza and says it’s some of the best in the area.

It is BYOB. Go on a nice day, sit outside, take a bottle of wine. It is a beautiful atmosphere, nothing else like it out here.

It is more expensive than other local places, but the portions are huge and delicious. Way better than Olive Garden! I’ve even been to Italy, and prefer the...

I've eaten there a few times and have not had a bad meal until this last Friday. My son and I are Pizza aficionados and since we have never had pizza there we ordered a Pizza Margireta, this is the pizza we always order when trying a new place - it's the best way we have found to gauge the quality of a restaurants pizza. We should have known something was amiss when after a while the waitress came back and told us the cook was puzzled that we didn't want any toppings on our pie. ? We finally were delivered a pie with just cheese, a few tomatoes, and a couple basil leaves. No sauce! The waitress could see things were not right and brought us a bowl of sauce. So essentially we had a flat cheese bread and a bowl to dip in. Of a large pizza we ate 2 pieces and were very disappointed. We even refused a take home box so the pizza was tossed. Now the waitress was embarrassed and tried to assuage the situation by giving my son a free desert, but $28 for 2 bowls of soup and a dessert just didn't add up. The waitress was great, but could do nothing for us beside the...

This was our bike ride destination for four of us. We had heard good things about this place, although this was our first visit. We arrived about 13:00 hrs & they weren't very busy on this Saturday. The service was a little slow after we were seated. It really wasn't too much of a concern since we were happy to be in a cool environment. After the initial wait for some cold water, the service improved with the timely delivery of delicious bread and then our food orders. My wife and I shared a sampler dish and were glad that we did. I'm not sure even in my younger days that I could have eaten that much food. It was not only huge, it was delicious. I can easily recommend this place to anyone. I gave it 4 stars because of the initial wait and the place could use a little updating. I would like to also let you know they have a large patio area with a beautiful view of the lake. It would have been our first choice for dining if the temps were just a...

We'd heard about Taste of Italy for a while, so we made a reservation for our 36th wedding anniversary. We sat next to the windows, so we had a nice view of the lake. We ordered calamari as an appetizer, and it's some of the best I've had. My husband is pretty picky about his Italian food, and he was very pleased. (He always orders spaghetti and meatballs because he thinks that gives him a true knowledge of how good the food is. :) ) I had the Shrimp and Chicken Maximo with angel hair—delicious! And our server was delightful and very attentive. The only thing I'd say as a negative is that the floor around our table looked like it should have been swept before we got there—there were crumbs and what looked like a wet napkin under one of the chairs. Not a big deal, just a little detail. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere, and we'll definitely go back when it's cooler so we can sit on the deck outside.

Man what a find. I was honestly surprised to find a Texas locale serving wonderful home cooked Italian dishes. I genuinely enjoyed sitting out by the lake and grubbing on delicious my pasta entre. I got the Taste of Italy which was decent but the marinara, red sauce is what really stuck the landing. The chicken Parmigiana is what really sold it and if I came back I would get that exact dish I would get. The fettuccine Alfredo part of the dish was bland and overcooked. Additionally the lasagna also lacking flavor and the garlic knots that came with the meal were also hardened and not all that fresh tasting, wish they were softer and with more garlicky flavor. Overall, I enjoyed this spot. My significant other ordered spicy ariabiatta rigoti and she loved it! It's also BYOB which is a huge plus.

Good food and a nice view. However this place felt dirty which is the reason for my 3 star review. Very pricey for a place that feels like it needs a good washing. Perhaps it was the squished beetle on the floor, or the flies that constantly swarmed our food, or maybe it was the old feel that it was probably a fish place in the past and all they did was paint the walls when they first opened assuming years ago, or maybe it was the handwritten signs on notebook paper telling us not to turn off a portable fan. Either way it just felt like it needs some tlc. I probably won’t be back because to me a food place should feel extremely clean and this place was not.
