Good location for me. Never parking issues, so far. Police park & have a presence👍 Never had, or witnessed, any issues of any sort here, I feel very safe by myself. Rarely super busy or crowded on trails. 2 big family restrooms available, they're usually pretty clean. It's a pretty large park area, many huge wonderful trees, they canopy the trail in some areas, also has winding wet creek, it's neat in rainy season, and "dog park" side, (to the west?) across the road, has bridge over creek to view crawfish, minnows, and cranes. More wildflowers on this side in Spring, why it's not always mowed. Took me a few visits to realize trail continued west, onto other side of road, which I prefer, if it's cold out and I want more sun. Many choices for all ages from swings, volleyball, tennis (for members?) basketball, soccer-kids only, to bike and run trails. Good amount of tables, benches scattered throughout, I've seen b-day/parties here. I believe pool is for MUD members, but lots of kiddos in it, too busy for me, I prefer quieter spaces. Trails are nice and wide, bonus for the Covid phobes. Also has a ParCourse on pool side trail, if you want to mix in working out with jogging. Lots of entrances to park trails through neighborhood, too. Occasionally this neighborhood park hosts Crawfish boils & other fun events for...
Read moreTucked in between rows of residential blocks lies Rattan Creek Park, a cozy and relaxing trail to walk through in the North Austin area. As a private park it is very clean and well looked after with the paths looking fresh and the overall aesthetic of the park looking much more groomed than many other trails in Austin. The trail itself is pretty easy to walk through and there are no difficult areas to get by. Lining the trail are different areas to do workouts which is nice to see and there are also sporting areas at the community center as well. The foliage looked great and the rest of the open areas seemed well put together. This is definitely a fantastic park to walk through with family, friends, or dogs if you’re...
