One of the most recommended place to view Holiday lights during December. As other reviews have covered the awesome pictures of the lighting, I shall the features of the place and how to reach
Features: *Santa's Ranch is located close to I-35. Exit 199 while coming from Austin Exit 200 while coming from San Antonio. Its located midway between San Antonio and Austin and takes sake time to reach from both the cities. *In Dec 2021, the entrance fee was $35 per car. Would recommend buying online before arriving. *Lights are worth for $35 and are spectacular. Takes in 35-40mins for entire trip. Kids would enjoy a lot. Team has worked a lot to setup these lighting.Entire trip was drive thru only and you cannot get down for posing for photos. *Snacks are sold at entrance and has to be purchased separately. Can try hot chocolate but in my opinion,Popcorn wasn't good and was too much for 4 people.
Wish there could have been a photo-op place in the drive thru for kids/family as it would added value to this memorable visit. Have a happy and safe...
Read moreGot here at 5:55pm waited in the long line of cars, got to the from at 6:20, so a 30 minute wait in that line. $29 at the front, yes they take credit cards. They have snacks you can buy in the beginning hot chocolate, kettle popcorn etc. To save on money, I took our kids their own warm chocolate with marshmallows from home in their spill proof cups, and popcorn or snacks. Also, take blankets and make sure kids wear their jackets if your going when it’s cold as you will open the windows when going on the tour, it might get a little cold in the car. I made sure the kids went to the bathroom before we came to this place, all they have is portable bathrooms. It was a 40 minute plus drive from San Antonio because we got HWY35 traffic at 430pm. It was a good 30 minute Christmas light tour, kids were super excited throughout the whole tour. The tour had a theme and also had fun areas too, the Alamo, religions, grinch, dinosaurs, planes etc. A good experience to create a memory...

They serve hot chocolate that you drive up to and get from a little house. You never get out of your vehicle. If you have your pet, they do offer puppychino [a tiny tiny paper cup half full of cool whip with 2 dog cookies stuck in it] which I thought was a cute idea. They do have port-a-potties by the entry/exit gate. And you can also purchase souvenirs fron the hot chocolate shack. The lights are beautiful, some VERY tight corners but in a car or compact SUV you should be fine unless you're new at driving. I have a lifted truck and corners were tight for me. The lights do tell a story of the birth of the world through the birth of Jesus than on through to his crucification and rising. Then it turns into Santa's wonderland of lights with reindeer and snowmen and elves for the rest of...
