HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! I went today with my daughter for home school day. I did buy the food and was told that I had to wait because they ran out. I understood. I was okay with waiting. I can see them filling up lettuce in the cups. I was then told it would take 15 to -20 mins. I said I would go to my car then to get something. I left for about 2 mins. When I came back I saw her giving 2 food trays. ( what happen to waiting for 15 -20mins?)
continue..... When we went to the birds in the back there was a family waiting in line ( 1 mom, 1 dad and 1 child a family of 3). Inside was 2 families. One family came out and then the family of 3 went in. Then the second family came out. There was a blonde lady with glass that works there and she was nice and told us that since that second family came out we could go in. ( my family is just me and my daughter ( 2 people).. A girl with dark hair working with the birds said that there was " not enough room and only the family of 3 was allowed). so me and my daughter waited. The blonde with glasses was nice and polite. once the family of 3 came out, I was allowed to go in with my daughter. while sitting for 1 min, a family of 4 came in and were allowed in. ** if the family of 3 plus with 2 ( me and my daughter ) were too much people. then it should be like that all the time. It does not make sense that I saw 2 family 3 -4 people each family in there. but i was not allowed to go in with a family of 3.. But a family of 4 was allowed. The girl working with the birds on 9-22-2025 at 11:30am was unprofessional, not friendly, rude and disrespectful for treating my daughter and I like this. She made us wait because she said it was full, but we just saw 2 families leave. The birds are my daughter's favorite. We were polite, nice and not loud. My daughter wanted to get in line again, but I had to explain to her that the girl with the dark hair working with the bird was not nice to us and made us feel unwelcome.
I believe the rules need to be clear and fair of how many people are allowed with the birds. I also believe everyone should be treated fair. I hope she gets the training of customer service and this experience doesn't happen to another family.
Wow! What a nice place! They hosted us in their fenced in party picnic area for a birthday on a Saturday at the 1pm slot. The party table, cake and present table, chalkboard sign, plates, napkins, silverware, a lighter for candles, and a happy birthday sigh over the table were all set up and ready for us when we arrived 15-20 min before 1. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. We had several late comers and they pushed the time a little bit to help out with that. One of the owners, Drew, did our animal show and it was a hit. It was very thorough, kids friendly, and informational, he did not rush, and allowed children time to ask questions. From there everyone got to go with animal food to walk through the zoo and also the aviary. It is quaint and perfect for kids who like animals and being outside. The adults really seemed to enjoy themselves also. We took our time even though I was very concerned about the time since 3pm seemed to be fastly approaching. We have been rushed out of other parties in the past that were not hosted by the learning zoo. They did not seem worried about us getting out on time and were laid back. We moved back to our area for food and cake which surprisingly we finished by 3 and they gave us plenty of time to pack up and even had time to open a few presents with friends before we had to go, no rushing or pressuring us to get out of there. They only do 2 time slots for parties on Saturday so their focus isn't to pump as many people in and out as they can but more about the quality of the parties they do host. We will be back for a week day...

From the moment we arrived, it was clear that The Learning Zoo prioritizes both education and fun. The location, just off FM 1488 & 242, is incredibly convenient, making it a breeze to get to. The open hours allowed us to explore at our own pace, and it was wonderful to see the animals in such a well-maintained and caring environment.
What truly sets The Learning Zoo apart is their commitment to hands-on learning. We opted for a private animal experience, and it was simply incredible. The knowledgeable staff were passionate and engaging, providing fascinating insights about each animal. It wasn't just a passive observation; we were able to interact and learn in a truly meaningful way.
I can only imagine how wonderful their birthday parties and student events must be! The nature-based venue is perfect for fostering a love of animals and the environment.
Whether you're visiting the zoo itself or bringing their ambassador animals to your own event, you're guaranteed a safe, educational, and, most importantly, FUN adventure.
