Comet Cleaners - Conroe, TX — Local services in The Woodlands

I decided to use this Comet Cleaners to get some shirts cleaned and pressed before traveling to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary. It's more expensive than nearby cleaners but I had confidence they could get it done.

I dropped off my clothes and was assured they would done the next day by 5pm. This commitment was reassured by the text printed on my claim ticket.

Next day I show up at 5pm, and get a sorry we don't have your shirts. Come back maybe tomorrow. I have a flight to catch and was counting on Comet to meet their commitment. (They picked and printed the 5pm time).

While delays can happen and this is one data point but it was enough of a bad experience that I will never use them again. Pay more go elsewhere that can keep...

If I could give them less than one star I would. First time dropping off clothes there, and they ruined one of my white shirts. HUGE yellow stain. Husband brought the shirt back, and they “investigated” to make sure we didn’t bring it in that way, then it was sent off again and returned with no resolution. I’m not mad about the shirt, rather the lack of professionalism and not offering to refund our money for their mistake. Later on I checked one of my suits and found other spots. I have been a long time customer. However, I recently was charged $18 more at check out than the receipts showed. I called and was told that they would give us a credit. I asked for a refund as we didn’t have any more cleaning to bring in. I then dropped off a shirt and pant Addiction for cleaning. Upon picking up, I was told it wasn’t a credit but a 50% discount. I finally talked with the manager and explained the situation. She took away discount (even though it was a Tuesday cleaning 25% off) and said that would take care of the credit. Very bad business.
