(Jan 2024) I've visited this place many times over the years. The natural beauty has always been there, unfortunately you can tell the municipality, the National Park Service or whoever runs the area are not interested in maintaining it. There's a large building in the center that had a place to buy food, eat and had bathrooms, all that is now falling apart. There are many gazebos in the area to celebrate activities, some of them are also falling apart. There is plenty of parking and nice beaches on both sides with calm water and even areas to go snorkeling. They use to charge to access the park, this time I went and I didn't see a single employee at the gate, or the park for that matter. Highly recommended for a nice beach day even if you don't want to get sand all over you or get wet. Not sure if they close...

Stumbled across this place by sheer stupid luck. The guard at the gate was incredibly friendly. Thanks for your hospitality and info. We enjoyed the visit. Seeing Old San Juan from across the bay is a vision and a completely different view. I think this is a hidden gem. Husband and I were enjoying a late afternoon Jeep ride when we rode through. Great place to bring the family. My only complaint (not a deterrent) is the trash. How I wish people could just pick up after themselves! Frustrates me. I certainly don't want to swim here but it's a nice place to...

Small beach. Very popular with the jet ski crowd. The beaches areas are eh. There is a lot of trash on the rocks. Looks like they try to maintain the beach areas and looks like you can reserve covered patio areas. There is a man made barrier to calm the waves on one side of the park. I see folks fishing and jumping off the dock. The road leading to the park can get severely congested and the road is in disrepair. You can see tons of trash along the water so I not sure I'd jump in the water. Not sure if I will return for the beach, but I may try some catch...
