Away from the touristy area across the bay, this point is filled with decaying structures of history. If you like crashing waves on rocks and fort ruins, come here. The island was hit hard by Hurricane Maria. It still appears to be a popular weekend family gathering spot. There are several picnic gazebos.

Cool old fort location. Lots of picnic tables, gazebos, and beautiful views of the fort across the bay in old San Juan. Lots of iguanas and crabs, and seems like a popular fishing spot.

Although its falling apart, the view is awesome, alot of hermit crabs running around, also you can see remnants of WW2 battlements

Love this little strip of land. If you get there before the sunrise you’ll get to see the lighthouse of El Morro lighting up across the water. Then prepare for STUNNING views of the sun rising on the ocean as the freighters come into the bay of San Juan. Stay to watch the waves beat on the rocks on the east side and dip into the clear calm waters on the west side of this little barrier island. Definitely worth a stop on a weekday when it is quiet. Also, the park staff are super friendly and helpful. We were shooting a music video inside the ruins and when we were done, they offered us a ride back down the hill so that we didn’t have to haul our...

This place is definitely off the beaten path. You have to drive through a small neighborhood to get to it and only half of the park is open to the public. The gate to the ruins was closes but a few people, myself included, bypassed it to walk up. It didn't seem forbidden as there were fisherman there and a full on photo shoot going on.

It was definitely a...
