Alex Bay 500 Go-Karts — Attraction in Town of Alexandria

Good carts and track - I, myself had a nice time.

Unfortunately my 10 year son had a very different experience which is why the rating as 2. Which ended in tears and him not wanting to finish his laps. Ended up losing 2 laps for two family members because of how the situation was handled (staff apparently yelled at him saying he didn’t know how to drive the cart). Was offered laps for next time but not offered money back. Sadly we won’t be returning due to this incident with the staff member.

Maturity? He was told to slow down at the 4 cones - there was 6 sets of 4 cones. He didn’t know which he was suppose to ‘stop’ at. It has nothing to do with maturity. Perhaps be a little more clear in your instruction. We’ve been go karting at many other places with no issues. So commenting on my sons maturity is not the appropriate response. We got the Go-Kart and Mini-Golf package for the whole family. Great bargain. This is a great local Go-Kart and Mini-Golf spot and a must visit if you're in the area with kids and want to mix up the week with an activity. One of the best ones I've been to with my my family. The karts are in excellent condition with a really well kept one mile track. They have options for the little ones too riding along with parents. The Mini-Golf course was a lot of fun with a few water traps/features and much like the rest of the facility, was in excellent condition. We were all pleasantly surprised considering how short the season is up here. We'll be visiting again next time we're in the area. They also have a subway here so good place to grab a bite before heading out. Well done Alex Bay...

It was a lot of fun! I wish there was more obstacles on the go cart track. Or maybe 5 laps for the price of 3. And having to stop every lap to hand them a ticket is a huge fun killer. And let everyone go all at once. Not one by one. That kills a lot of the fun, too. Arcade was great! (Wish they had Time Crisis 2. A classic 2-person shooter for us older guys lol)

The miniature golf was fun! Kind of simple and basic. Not much as far as decoration or obstacles. Definitely not a Happy Gilmore kind of mini golf. Lol But, still, the water hazards are a nice touch!
