I have fallen in love with this sweet spot. The food, atmosphere, and service are the best around. I loved the experience so much that I returned the next day, and everything was spot on again. The waitresses are all kind, pleasant, and polite, delivering excellent customer service all around. It doesn't matter who you are, what you look like, or where you come from. They welcome everyone who walks through the door, and it reminds me of all the southern spots I have frequented, but up north. What a treasure. The food is fantastic. I had an egg white omelet with American cheese and sausage, home fries, and wheat toast. My son had the strawberry shortcake pancakes. The portion sizes were extra large. Definitely a lot of bang for your hard earned buck. I invited my friend and her boys to return with us the next day. Same stellar service and phenomenal food. My second time, I had a cheese omelet with home fries and wheat toast. I am an omelet girl, and they are super tasty at this quaint spot. My son had cinnamon bun pancakes with bacon. He raved about how good they were. My girlfriend opted for eggs benedict with poutine home fries, and her boys shared the strawberry shortcake pancakes. I will be returning again and again and again. This spot is seasonal, and it is definitely worth trying if ever in the Alexandria Bay area. They are open for breakfast and lunch only. I do believe doors are locked at 1400. My family and I ordered a large cheese pizza and meatloaf to go. Took over 45 minutes to receive the large pizza and meatloaf with a slice of toast. There was no roll or vegetable with the order and when called I to bring it to her attention, she begrudgingly apologized and blamed my family for our order being wrong then hung up on me. I was disappointed because we waited so long that I would assume our small order would be filled correctly. There was a large party who came in after us AND received their entire order before us and correctly so why not us? For the record, there were others there and we were respectful and quiet while we waited for our order the entire time. We ordered and paid for items we didn't receive and then was treated rudely and disrespected....

We kept going by this place thinking it was still under last yrs owners, but this yr there were many more cars parked in the lot each time we went by than in previous yrs. We decided to give it a try and were pleasantly surprised. Although crowded at breakfast time (Sun.) this place is very clean. Love the new decor which gives a homey feeling. Food was very good, (really enjoyed the homefries) waitress very pleasant, and - even though busy, food came out in timely manner. We're summer residents and sorry we've been missing out on this place all summer but will make up for it next yr I hope! Only gave 4 stars because they can probably use a new toaster - well done on one side not so much on the other, but that's a minor fix. Looking forward...
