The customer service on our wedding day and thereafter was a disappointment to me and I truly believe if you are African-American, they are only courtesy up until you pay your bill in full. Based on my experience I would not recommend this venue for the following reasons:
Bob, who was our direct contact throughout the process did not even come in the room to offer a congratulation or to see how our day was going. Since I witnessed him do this for another couple during our food tasting I found it insulting that the same courtesy was not extended to us.
After providing a very detailed special instructions none of them were followed, i.e. no aisle runner for the wedding ceremony which was supposed to be part of the ceremony fee, no high chairs were provided for two tables, no special attention was provided to the VIP tables and we didn’t have a full seven course meal which was included.
I provided my own cake for my wedding and was told that the remaining half of the cake that was not served to the guests would be stored in the refrigerator overnight and that we could pick it up with the rest of our items the next day. However, when I arrived I was informed by the manager on duty, Toni ann who was rude to my husband and me from the start that the cake was tossed in the garbage without so much as an apology.
Furthermore, we supplied to the venue liquor for our guests after discovering what they considered “premium liquor” did not cover what we wanted for our guests such as: Patron, Berry Cîroc, Pineapple Cîroc, Honey Jack Daniel and Hennessey. When I was informed that we were allowed to bring the liquor of our choice into the venue, I was told all unused liquor would be returned to us after the wedding reception. After the reception all of our personal items were placed in a box including the unused liquor which I inspected, we decided to take the bottle of Berry Cîroc with us that night and our bridal attendant Justyne stated everything would be locked up for us to pick up the next day, I witnessed the bar staff carrying the bottles into the elevator. When we returned the next day we were given the bottle of Pineapple Cîroc which literally had two shots in it and this is the big bottle and was told they didn’t see any other liquor and when I protested about the liquor being left under their care, the same rude manager, Toni Ann than came up with the excuse even if they found the liquor she could not give it to us because it is against the law but she would check with Bob. However, with that said she gave us the bottle of Pineapple Cîroc.
In the interim, Bob arrived and then began to investigate the circumstance of the “missing liquor” and came back and said the bar staff told him we used most of liquor in our bottles and I told Bob, that was not true because I examined the bottles before I left. He promised he would contact Justyne and check on the “missing liquor” and would get back to me when we returned from our honeymoon and yet still not one word of congratulations from any of them.
To date, I have not heard one word from any staff at the Venetian Yacht Club regarding the liquor that was stolen by their staff that was left under their care. And, I believe if we were not African-American the situation would have been handling...
Read moreThis review is going to have multiple edits/additions/revivals and here is why: this place rocked our worlds! Not only was this the best wedding I’ve ever been to it was MY wedding. I was never really that day dreamer who thought constantly on of how the perfect day would go, but my husband dreamed of my perfect day for me and so did his amazing mother. Okay… this isn’t going to be a review of my amazing new family, I promise, but they must be recognized as the wonderful people they are. I digress:
In this first edition I’d like to recognize our planners Brittany and Lisa. Both were unbelievably easy to work with, like working with an old friend. To put this complement into perspective my husband [Brandon] and I originally planned on getting married April of 2020.
That’s right, this is a COVID story.
Our first wedding date was moved to august 2020, and then to April 2021, then finally to September 26th 2021. All the way through we were comforted and reassured that our big day would eventually happen the way we wanted.
On our side however we decided to make some adjustments and require a few measures to insure safety for our guests. For me this was key. Brandon’s grandmother was to be in attendance and if she were to get sick as a result of our happy day… that would have wrecked me.
This review isn’t just for this venue and the amazing staff that assisted us in creating an easy CLEAN atmosphere, but also for the state of NY. Because of NYs mandates/recommendations we felt freedom to require reasonable measurements for our occasion and as a result we reported ZERO sickness. Best gift ever!
Our wedding day went off flawlessly. The fact that we made it to the day, finally, was overwhelming enough. Top it off with royalty treatment, I was in a constant humbled state of satisfaction.
The rooms were even more brilliant with our flowers and color themes. Every detail was decadent, yet warm. ”Lovely” is the right word, but seems lacking so I’m going to keep going. The food… oh my the food… everything was delicious. If anyone left hungry then It really was their own fault.
Then there were our MC and attendant. I could cry just thinking of how cool and radiantly stunning our personal service was. My drink was never empty. My dress was always being adjusted. Yet I feel like I didn’t see/feel/notice any of it. The picture shows the dedication I’m speaking of.
Book this venue. Book it now for whatever it is you’re planning. You won’t regret a...
Read moreFirst let me start by saying the Piermont is amazing -best venue hands down. Brittany who has taken care of me for my second party here now is absolutely incredible. Her organization and follow through with us was excellent. Sue who also assisted us as well is a doll and is also so helpful and accommodating. The venue and staff yet again exceeded all my expectations and then some for a second time now! From beginning to end, everything went seamlessly from setup to breakdown.
I want to give a shout out to a few members of your staff who well deserve it!
Our maitre’d , Jess, was absolutely incredible. We were stressed morning of because I wasn’t able to arrive until a little bit later and my mom was there setting up alone. Jess completely took charge and basically had the whole setup done for us to perfection. She kept the party running in an organized timely fashion and accommodated what we we needed through out. She knew what I was thinking before I said it! She is a gem and such a hard worker!
Eric our bartender- what a hardworking pleasant guy he is! He was great with us and our guests and overall has an amazing personality and is very good at what he does. He made sure everything was seamless and that everyone had a drink in their hand. He provided phenomenal service!
Alana and Jess- two exceptional members of your wait staff. They both went above and beyond to make sure everyone’s food came out in a timely manner and both paid close attention to detail. Very accommodating -making sure myself and my family had everything we needed. They both made sure all our food and desert was wrapped up and organized to go and they both even went above and beyond offering to carry some of our things out to the car for us. These are two very hard working young ladies who really played a big role so thank you!
These people are all huge assets to your business! The entire staff is wonderful! Ask for them if your having a party!!!
I work at Kleinfeld Bridal in the service industry so I do recognize hard workers who are good at what they do and go above and beyond so thank you a million! I highly recommend your venue to friends and family always and all my brides!...
