Pharmacy is terrible. My son’s pediatrician sent over a script while I was at his office so I know it was done. My husband and I also had prescriptions there so we waited a bit so we could pick them all up together. Once we got there the woman at the drive through said there were 4 scripts, 2 for me, one for my husband and the 4th I assumed was for my son. She then said there were only 3 and none for my son. We left I called the Dr’s office and they said they did send it, but would resend it. After waiting awhile I went Into the store and asked for my son’s script. The same woman (tall, blonde, older one) with a complete attitude said “it’s out of stock!” I said I wish we would have been told that when we came earlier. My son is sick and needs his medication. She then got nastier and told me I could have my Dr send it some place else. This being a Friday afternoon I feared the Dr would be gone. I expressed that to her and she said she would check another store. I went to sit down, in the meantime the man in line behind me told me how terrible they are there and couldn’t believe how nasty she was speaking to me. He was asking if they had a certain shampoo behind the counter because he couldn’t find it. Instead of helping him locate it she told him to ask up front again with a very unfriendly tone. She then proceeded to take people from the line and didn’t say a word to me. I took a call from my husband and while on the phone I asked her if she was checking another store. She basically barked at me “The pharmacist is checking!” I said I wasn’t aware because she told me she would check then didn’t say another word. I was speaking to my husband on the phone and said TO HIM she had a nasty attitude and she had the nerve to say “Excuse me?!” First off, she did from the time we went to the drive through till that point just as she always has a poor attitude every time we deal with her. We have dealt with her many times. In fact there are only 2 cashiers that are friendly to us out of all of the ones they have. Second, how dare she question me when I was clearly on the phone especially in the way she did. This woman needs to learn basic customer communication skills because she is nothing short of nasty. The Deer Park Walgreens really needs to do better and start training their employees how to greet and deal with customers especially working in the pharmacy when they have people coming in some sick, or picking up medication for sick children and family members. They need to be taught to have some basic human decency and compassion. In the end the pharmacist was able to transfer the script to the Brentwood location. The girl that helped me there was sweet and the pharmacist even came over to make sure I understood how to administer the medication. Deer Park could definitely learn from that location. I want to end this by saying I never write reviews, but after that...
Read moreIf I could give negative stars I would. I am very close to reporting the Manager Of Pharmacy to the board. I have caught her in lie after lie playing with my pain medication refills. She has told me insurance won’t allow a refill then I call insurance, they in turn tell me the prescription was already filled they have no issue. When the insurance representative calls her she fills it telling them a lie. She tells me she needs a code from the Dr (waited over 24hrs) When I get the Dr to call she tells the Dr the prescription has been waiting for me. When we went to pick it up the technician had to go find it because it had just been filled-which was over an hour later Then the receipt showed it was filled YESTERDAY. She told me on another occasion after waiting 5 days that the store can not get any more of the pills for the month. She cancelled the prescription and I had to get a new prescription called in elsewhere. The only reason I use them is because they are 24 hours. But slowly one by one I am moving all prescriptions over to another pharmacy. She needs to be stopped from playing with peoples medications. I understand pain pills are under scrutiny but she has no idea why I am Them or what my situation is. She is not my Dr that - by the way I...
Read moreI haven’t had any problems with this Walgreens until now. I called days in advance in regard to a refill which I was told will be ready in 30 mins. I then called the next day to be told that the refill was never filled but it would be in 30 mins. I then drive over there for them to let me know that this medication is out of stock. They never answer the phones, I was routed to someone who wasn’t even in Ny or the physical store who then had to connect me to someone in the store. The lady I spoke to was very rude and did not reassure me that I would be getting my medication that I called in advance for and desperately need. I told them each time that I need this medication as I will be going away and if I do not get it, I will be very sick. It’s like a sick joke, the lady that I spoke with even hung up the phone on me. If anything happens to me, Walgreens will be paying for my funeral. Walgreens needs to hire more people, And people with some compassion at that. This is ridiculous , these are people’s lives in your hands that you all are playing with. Hire people who can do the job and pay them. God forbid one of their family members go through what I am so that they’ll know how it feels....
