Beautiful lake, plentiful fishing for summer and winter, loons, ducks, eagles, and many other creatures make their homes on or near Trout Lake. Amazing sunsets, and one of the highest communities near Lake George - so abundant snow in winter - 50% more than nearby areas; primarily due to an open Westerly exposure that allows incoming squalls and storms to accumulate in the mountain valley. It's SUCH a shame that residents and the Adirondack Park authorities ignore the law and allow unrestricted motorboat operations on the lake. It distrubs wildlife as well as recreation.
