It is a well-maintained little park. It offers a repeating walking path abundant in local nature. It is also one of Long Island's many military deceased honoring parks. Nowadays, there seems to be one for every other town, the reminders are frequent. My understanding these individuals sacrificed their lives and have contributed to national interests. The military assist in relief efforts during times of crisis annually. Nonetheless, other non-military individuals past and present contributed unselfishly to their communities, like single parents. Read moreThis park has zero up keep for the pond which is completely garbage. No fish stocking bushes never trimmed. The only play to fish from is blocked with wheat grass a tree that needs to be removed and a small Forrest to block it. Unreal. Who's in charge should be fired. Also silver lake is a public place and fishing should be allowed along the walking path with out the golf course interference. Needs to be addressed...
