Middle Island Pizza — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

Horrible service! I called ahead of time, thinking I wouldn't have to wait. I arrive, pizza was ready I'm thinking OK cool! I hand the man my credit card. He swipes and all of a sudden remembers the machine is broke. Its going to be about a ten minute wait for it to kick back with a confirmation stating it didn't go through. I explain to him that my boyfriend has to be at work in 30 minutes. His attidude showed he could careless, he even suggested to write down the credit card info and he will bill me. I looked at him as if he had 3 heads? As a professional running a business why would that be the only solution? After I declined his offer and decided to call my bank to see if I got charged because at this point between the way I was treated and the long wait I didn't even want the pizza!! He rushes out to my car knocks on window and states it went through. No apologies nothing! My bill came out to $41. 38 (approximately) Even if he offered me a small salad for the inconvenience he caused me and my boyfriend he did not! It gets much better I get home and its the wrong order!! Pissed at this point we called and was told to bring back the pizza and they will make the right order. I was overcharged as a few days later I grabbed a menu to look it over. No way two pies cost $41 dollars!! I just left it alone and decided to never ever eat there, tell my friends about my experience and write this review. 1 star is still being too nice. Sorry but not sorry! First time last time!!...

This is my favorite neighborhood pizza place. Food is always great, service is great. Larry is my favorite guy to see, always in high spirits and he’s so kind and welcoming. While I love this place, I am upset because during my recent visit, I was quickly learned that the ac was not on in the building. This was during our heat wave and the entire place was hot, muggy and I was sweating while waiting for my order. Larry was apologizing for the circumstance but I felt sorry for him as not only was he working, but he was dealing with extremely hot ovens and looked to be overheating himself. I do not know the reason or motive behind why there was no ac in the building during 100 degree weather but I’ve heard before that the owner is not treating staff properly and I would just like to say that we need to do better. This is a great little joint and I am happy to give it my dollars as long as I see that reflected in the way the staff is being treated overall and make sure that they are working in...

Let me just say the guy at the counter very politely granted me the worst customer service experience that I ever enciuntered. I left there in a daze and was convinced that I had just been faced with discrimination. My order was simple, a slice of pizza with a bottled drink and a cup of ice. Towards the completion of my order, he took someone else's order, accepted their payment, heated their pizza and served it to them while I still waited for my slice. Since my order was to go, I asked for a lid to my cup and he told me that they ran out of cup lids but that I could wrestle the second guy who came after me for me. Thus, I placed my order prior and everyone recived lids but me to my carry out order. No apology or alternative. I'm still waiting to hear back from the owner. Not to mention, the pizza was the worst I tasted on this side of town and to add bad...
