I’ve been coming here a few months to get dip powder. I’ve almost always made an appointment online before coming, and today was no different. I made an appointment a few days ago online, especially since it is before a holiday weekend. I arrived at my exact appointment time and I sat for 45 minutes after my scheduled time without being seen. They were super busy so I was trying to be patient but I was definitely frustrated. Heidi finally sat down and started my service, but during my manicure she got up 4 different times to go do other services for other customers. I was pretty annoyed, but again I understand that they are busy. Then during my manicure she was pretty rough especially with the electric file running it so fast and hot that it was painful, and filing so hard that it rubbed off skin at the corner of nails. I’ve had multiple appointments with Kay at this salon and never experienced any pain or roughness with Kay like I did today with Heidi. Everything to this point was annoying but understandable. Near the end of the service my nails are curing and she gets up again to start another customer’s service. Heidi just told me to go wash my hands, and it seemed that my appointment was over without having any acknowledgment of my appointment being finished? Overall the manicure was rough and rushed, I didn’t even have any cuticle work done. My final straw was when I went up to pay I was told my service was $50 even though on the website it says dip powder is $40. I protested and I was told it was $5 more because my nails were curved? Not even sure where that other $5 went since it was a $10 difference, but never in the years of getting my nails done have I been charged extra for having curved nails. Not even at this salon before was I charged for curved nails! Only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because Kay is amazing and gentle, unfortunately with my experience today I will...
Read moreUpdate: I contacted the studio and Heidi agreed to come to a resolution with me about my nails. She was kind and checked with me to make sure I was satisfied every step of the way. She needed to redo the set but did so beautifully. The nails have a nice apex and there are no unsanitary gaps under my nails or buildup of acrylic. Her technique was masterful, the color is pretty, and shape is just what I wanted. They’re flattering and I feel like I can wear them with pride especially as I work with my hands a lot. My service didn’t hurt and was done efficiently. I wish I didn’t have to come back but the next time I want my nails done, I won’t hesitate to go to Heidi. Thank you.
I would likely not go here again. A pregnant lady idr her name did my toenails. She was honest, efficient and did a good job. I hate that she brushed the top of my feet and between my toes but albeit I didn’t say anything. Hoping my pedi lasts. Will update. As far as my nails, Tony did them, they were nice but turned out awful. He filed my cuticles with the block, hurt me multiple times and gave me bulky, ugly nails that I can’t even work with and have to take off after spending $60. Usually they lay the acrylic nicely and refine but he did it haphazardly and harshly filed under my nails. I was told my nails go up and that’s why he couldn’t file more narrow. Untrue. The tips weren’t attached and you can see a gap which will cause fungus. I read the reviews just now and other ladies experienced something similar. He was nice but I regret getting my...
Read moreI went to get my nails done on Monday with Dimitri - well that’s the name I say in front of. I was excited to get my set of uv gel- I barely ever go out and pamper myself. And this is possibly why, the only time I do I get red flags. I am sitting getting my nails done, we are choosing color and I request a few colors to see if he can make like a holiday theme colored on different nails with design. He said tell me what you want, I asked do you have any ideas he said no. Ok first red flag, very unfriendly about doing a creative design. I guess I expected something I never came across in the years I use to get my nails done everywhere I went they always wanted to do a design. 2nd we are at the drying part of my nails in the Uv lamp, he finishes and he like ok. And I’m like, do you have cuticle oil? He says you want cuticle oil ok and gets it from the pedicure section (which is very unsanitary!) applies it to my cuticles and he says ok. And I’m like you are not going to rub it in?! And than I’m like do you have lotion? You don’t put lotion or a hot towel. He said no, it’s not a manicure? I said, oh ok. (In my head, I didn’t know this was a la carte I have never been anywhere where a pedicure is not included in a set?! So bizarre! But had he mentioned it prior I would of said manicure too please. I paid $65 for my set plus a $12 tip bcs I didn’t want to be embarrassed.) and now my thumb nail came off and my nails are lifting. I highly do not recommend this place due to my experience...
