I’ve kayaked from Dutchman’s Landing for over twenty years. It has slowly gotten nicer with more benches, public bathrooms, BBQ grills, picnic tables and now has EV charging. The park has a large children's playground and an adult workout area. From the northern end of the park there is a trail that will take you up to town. It can get busy when there are events or larger groups here. Parking can accumulate many cars so I don’t think it will be a problem unless a large event is happening.

There is a double boat ramp and lots of trailer parking. From signage here it sounds like there are some issues with the ramp. We see boats launching and landing everytime we are here.

If you are a kayaker this is one of the best Hudson River places to launch from. Keep in mind that the boat channel is close to the ramp. You will see a navigational tower from the boat ramp. Large ships and barges come close to the ramp so keep your eye out and yield right of way to boats in the channel. Head north under the Rip Van Ripple bridge to Middle Grounds Flat for lunch or south to Catskill Creek or Ram Horn Creek. It’s a beautiful place to paddle.

Whatever age you are and whatever you enjoy doing you will have a good time at this park.

Original review from 2018; A large park with a good boat ramp. Bathrooms and snack bar. When the regular bathrooms are closed there are always Portable Toilets. The boat ramp can accommodate a few trailers at the same time with a good staging area and lots of...

Really nice, sunny park by the water. Since it's right across the street from the courthouse, the judge has been holding wedding ceremonies down there, so that's where I come in. I photographed this cute little elopement at Dutchmen's Landing Park in September. There weren't a ton of people there, and a surprisingly fair amount of places to take photos, considering it's mostly just a field and parking lot next to the water. One real downside is that there is a little beach area if you take the trail in the woods and it is completely covered in glass. Not even exaggerating. It was...

I myself have been going there since 1982. I personally think it is by far the best park in Greene county. It's a family style park. Starting The 3rd or 4th week of June the, Heart of Catskill as well as other area businesses such as, Sawyer Chevrolet of Catskill which always sponcer a popular band, fireworks, ice cream and watermelon all free to the open public. As I always say, bring along your favorite lawnchair, have ah seat, sit back & enjoy the evening. Just keep in mind though, it is a public and family style park. SO,ABSOLUTELY NO ALCOHOL IS...

What used to be a major throughfare for folks coming up the river by ferry and hopping the scenic railroad to the Otis line and eventually the Mountain House, Dutchman's Landing offers access to the Hudson River as well as plenty of space and events to have fun. Walk the trail, drop your boat, or enjoy the views. Beautiful place to spend time.
