This is such a great park. Initially I wanted to snap some photos at Croton Point Park, whch I have done before and got some great photos. I looked at Google Maps and saw this park nearby which was new to me. I am glad that I researhed a bit and found this place. I decided to go there early on nice Saturday morning. It is a little trickyl getting there with the main highway and the train tracks separating you from the park. Navigation may have a little trouble findng the location. You need to take the Senasqua Park Exit from the main (Croton/Route 9) Expressway. You will end up on Municipal Place which will turn into a smaller Half Moon Bay Drive. Follow that road until you cross the train tracks overpass then follow the sign and make a right to Senasqua Park/Croton Yacht Club/9/11 Memorial area. You will pass Senasqua Park first, and then the Croton Yacht Club. You will then arrive at Croton Landing PArk parking lot just beyond the round about. The lot holds about 40 cars or so. When I arrived there at about 11 AM, the lot was about half full. When I was leaving at 12:30 it was full. There are a few port-a-pottys there as well. There is a large grassy area that people had brought chairs and were relaxing on. There is the main path which is about half mile long to the end where the 9/11 memorial is. There are benches along the path, facing the lovely views of the Hudon River. People were picnicing and fishing there. I don't know if permits are required. There were no entry fees from that I experienced...nor was there a booth to enter the park. Overall I had a great experience here at Croton Landing Park. I think a lot of people flock to the larger Croton Point Park so this park doesn't get much attention. Despite the lot being full when I was leaving, the park or path never...

One of the best features is the park’s location right along the Hudson River—about a third of the park borders the water. The highlight, though, has to be the sunsets. The view is wide open and unobstructed, with the sun setting over the Rockland terrain. The sky lights up and reflects beautifully off the river.
A must-visit spot to take in one of the best...
Read moreReally nice park with a long walking trail. At far end there is an impressive 911 memorial. The memorial is built with a large steal beam from the 911 destroyed Twin Towers in NYC to form a huge sun dial/clock. Next to it there are detailed explanations of how the Sun Dial works and a correction graph for the difference between the sun dial's reading as a function of the time of day. The memorial is nice artistically, in addition to its science educational value. North of the parking the Park has a Bathroom House with separate Men's and Women's. Both include baby changing table :-) that is...
