Lovely place. Tiny but comfortable. We went late in a rainy Sunday, so there were no other customers. Seems like locals were ordering up a storm of delivery.
Rightly so! The food was homey and delicious. More pricey than it seems it should be, but about $60/person wasn't terrible for the good food and friendly staff. I wish I lived close enough to have this daily.
We started Thai iced tea, chicken satay(4), curry puffs(3), and spring rolls(4). I could've eaten a load of each. They were fresh tasting with just the right spices and the sauces were wonderful. I could wish for a little more of the excellent cucumber relish, but nothing bad at all!
I then added a Tom Yum Chicken soup because I hadn't been able to get a good one that wasn't only shrimp anywhere in a while. So happy! It wasn't a huge serving which was great, it allowed me to have an entree as well. The spice was perfect too.
Our main dishes came out next. We got a Pineapple Fried Rice with duck (there were several meat options for each entree) and Drunken Man Noodle with Chicken.
The fried rice was made well, with full flavor of ingredients and large chunks of crispy duck. It was large enough for one meal or two if you are the type who share entrees.
I enjoyed every last bite of the noodles, which were cooked to perfection, with the lightly spicy sauce and chicken. I would maybe ask for a tiny bit more spice next time.
For dessert, I opted for the creamy coconut creme brulee. It came as two small dishes with a hot creamy coconut on top, not exactly brulee, but I am not going to complain or insist on a name change, it was freaking DE.LISH.OUS (delicious, with emphasis Haha). I cannot explain it but I will certainly order it another time.
In all, I definitely recommend this place for a good night out with thai food. It has a homey feel. I would say it was like having comfort food, even if Thai is a foreign food to you, as it is for me.
I don't know how they are when they are busy, but late night on a rainy Sunday was an warm and welcome...
Read moreD Thai has clearly labeled vegan 🌱 options and their veggie duck and chicken are vegan as well 👍🏼 They even have a vegan Shiraz wine available. My drink had to be a Thai iced tea which you can ask for coconut 🥥 milk which you can’t do at most Thai places 🤩 We did the lunch special which gives you a great amount of food for the price as well as options for what you would want your tofu, veggies, or mock meat of choice. All come with a choice of salad 🥗 or soup (did salad with peanut 🥜 dressing, and comes with tofu, real tasty 😋) as well as a veggie potsticker 🥟 with rice 🍚 or noodles depending on your order. My entree was the spicy 🌶 basil 🌿 w/ veggie chicken. The mock chicken was chewy, but really took in all the flavor of the sauce and spice which made it very good, almost addictive if you’re really into Thai spices. They also have multiple vegan desserts which you also don’t see at Thai restaurants. I will definitely get one of them next time!
The service was very nice, and the restaurant is small inside so reservations recommended as when I got there almost all the seats were full so I’m glad I made one, and they do have very nice outdoor seating. For all the vegan options they offer, I will surely be back time and...
Read moreD Thai Kitchen is the BEST Thai food around! The owners are super nice and will accommodate making you any dish you request, even if it's not on the menu. They always remember to make the special pickled vinegar sauce that both my husband and I love to add extra spice! The food is fresh, plentiful and presentation is always beautiful. My husband gets the whole snapper and when he's done, it is down to the pair bones - literally. I love the chicken in green curry, the chicken wings, shrimp with thai basil and roti - oh roti - AH, delicious! oh and the tiramisu, yes, tiramisu in a thai restaurant, is probably one of the best and lightest tiramisu's I've eaten. This is our favorite local neighborhood restaurant and we are so lucky to have this restaurant so close to us. I am looking forward to dining here...
