Syracuse Children's Theatre — Attraction in Town of De Witt

HONEST* review after my daughter Eliana's 3rd performance with Syracuse Children's Theater this afternoon (she has been in Moana, Aladdin, & now ... Beauty & the Beast). My daughter has never been more excited for an activity, she LOVES theater. Before today's show she had to have said to myself and other family members, "I am SO excited for you to see the show" about 100 times!!! She loves to sing, dance, & act & the folks at SCT allow such talents to shine beginning at a young age (she's only 6, yet has 3 productions already under her belt as she was able to start in PRE-K)! She is not allowed to practice those talents at school often, which is sad. SO THANK YOU to the talented, experienced team of staff who work with the kiddos (Babs, Nikita, for example). There's also always great communication from Todd & SCT (& I'm a former TV news anchor so I know proper email communication ... LOL). I will be donating to their recently announced campaign for improvements to the building. Hope this info. is helpful to other parents! I deeply appreciate people who care about their craft, & the people who work here clearly do. Google thought I had recently visited because I parked on the street near a residence that I was visiting. My information is from several years ago.

With mostly indirect interaction, it appears they provide a nice service for children interested in theater. I saw one of their plays a few years ago. It was good considering the ages of the actors and it appeared the kids were having fun.

The one negative interaction happened when, as a favor, I went to pick up a kid. I didn't know the parking rules and none were posted. Some man emerged from the building and started yelling at me for not obeying the rules I knew nothing about. When I explained that nobody told me anything about the rules but that I was willing to comply, if he would just tell me, he was taken aback. He told me where I should park. I started the engine to move but instead of an apology, he left in a huff.

The management there should realize that not every visitor will know the unposted...

We just had our daughter's third birthday party here over the weekend. I cannot say enough good things about Nikita and our experience. The price was very affordable considering all the things we got to do. They had two huge bounce houses, a large space for kids to dance and play, and also provided costumes for our princess theme. The kids loved it! There was another separate space for setting up food which was great. Were were able to get in and decorate early with no problem.

Nikita helped the kids with costumes throughout and checked in with us a few times ahead of the party to ask about ideas and interests. She was very helpful and we appreciate how kid centered the party was. She had speakers for Disney music, which all of the kids loved. She also had some baby items on hand to help the littlest ones be included in the fun too. We loved it! Highly...
