We did the Ishnala and Echo Rock Loop. It was quiet and beautiful. We only ran into another set of couples near Echo Rock, but we were all respectful on space and had it to ourselves after a moment. For our first time in the Dells, even in the off season, we couldn't have been happier.
As a side note. This is more like a park then a nature trail, in our opinions. It was really great. But like Grant Park in Cudahy, WI.
Asthma or breathing issues, there are hills on this baby. Enough to make you stop and breathe.
Totally worth the trip, other than the annoying highway noise for most of the Ishnala Trail.
Also, you have to pay for a day pass, or better yet buy the whole year. It's for all the WI state parks, if you don't already have one. Totally...
Read moreWas a great experience all around! Google maps will take you through Ishnala Supper Club and it will ask you to park in their parking lot. You have to be a customer to park there so we did some digging on google maps and found the best way in our opinion. The photo below will explain the route but basically you should put direction in for “Vault Toilet” it’s through Mirror Lake Campgrounds but it was a perfect spot to park!
