Sky High Mountain Coaster — Attraction in Town of Ellicottville

as for the actual sky mountain coaster- loved it, much faster than expected (you can control the speed but at full speed its like a roller coaster- very fast) a bit scary because its so fast with some sharp, abrupt turns that if it ever went off the track you would be done for. I doubt that would happen but you cant help think about it as youre zooming through the trees. the WAIT to get to the coaster was absurd!! we went on a wednesday and stood in line for an hour! youre standing on pavement on a hill with tons of kids around being loud and annoying, teenagers trying to cut in line with their friends etc. the line creeps so slowwwww. they need a better system to get things moving. another downfall is if the person in front of you is going slow down the track, youre stuck behind them going slow because you have to stay 80 ft behind. and if you wait for them to get down the track so you can speed you will back up the people behind you, and you also have to worry about ramming the car in front if you come around a corner and dont see them because theyre going slow, so the person in front of you can kinda ruin it for you. it was fun but not at all worth an hour wait for a 2...

The ride could have been longer but it was fun for myself (Dad) and our two boys, including my youngest, getting him over his fear of coasters. They were super nice as it was dead in that we thought we were charged per ride but it was per person, even though the first rides me and my youngest rode tandem. They let us each have one more ride as my youngest, who got over his fear, decided to go solo. In essence, giving three of us a free ride, which was generous.

We talked about it for the rest of the day and can't wait to go back and ride the Mountain Coaster again. Highly recommended for affordable...

What a beautiful hidden gem! This mountain coaster is perfect for all age groups. My fiancé who doesn't get on roller coasters really enjoyed this as he could control the speed. Amazing alternative. They make you watch a short safety video before getting on the first time which is always good. We got 10 tickets for $65. If you don't use all of them the same day, you can ask the staff to stamp them and therefore extend their validity. We bought ours in august and they were good...
