Gates Recreation Department — Attraction in Town of Gates

This is the BEST place for kid parties! Great space for the Littles to play, plus Foose ball, pool, shuffle board and gaga pit for bigger kids. Large space attached with tables and chairs for serving food. Great option especially for those with winter birthdays and you don't want to have your house wrecked by 20+ kids, nor have the room to occupy them and their parents without everyone feeling claustrophobic. Excellent deal in terms of other options for group birthday parties in the community where all you get is pizza and soda for triple the price.... you bring your own food/drinks in, and have to set up and clean up afterward, but this absolutely beats having to clean up my house...

It was great to see the community provide a safe way for kids to still have a Halloween experience. The people were all dressed up and extremely friendly, handing out candy and treats and complimenting the kids costumes and taking pictures! Lots of fun and smiles. Many nearby communities had similar events. We all have been hit hard with problems created from the virus, children more so in some ways than others. All our lives have been turned upside down! This is one of my new favorite go-to places for me and my kids. There's a giant space inside for all kinds of activities, tables for school work if you homeschool, pool table, shuffle board, an area for dance, couches with a TV, and most of all - a large play area with giant mats, play houses, toys everywhere, huge foam blocks to build structures, small roller coaster tracks and cars that kids can ride, and I'm sure much more that didn't even notice.
