My husband and I had our wedding reception at The Falconwood on 6/21/2025. Without mincing words we had a completely perfect wedding. The coordinator Tammy was so patient with us regarding all the extra things we wanted and unexpected hiccups in the days leading up to/day of the wedding (sorry Tammy!). Tammy is a phenomenal communicator and great at followup which I appreciated. Audrey also helped with our wedding reception day of and was great as well. The catering staff was so accommodating and did an amazing job that night. All our guests commented the food was phenomenal, and on the day of the reception was actual better than our tasting. The venue was even able to accommodate what we wanted for our signature drink and custom made a jalapeño simple syrup for us. This venue was the perfect size to service our ~180 guests but can definitely cater to larger groups out on their terrace. The venue itself is beautiful, the location on the river is perfect and we got beautiful photos in the park. Tammy suggested pictures at River Lea three minutes from the venue in the park which we did use and our pictures there are beautiful. Biggest thank you to The Falconwood for all they did to make our wedding a success. Would recommend to any couple planning their wedding!

The only reason I'm not giving a 1 star is because the view was nice from where we were seating outside on the patio. However, the food was not as nice. Our choices were cold mashed potatoes, cold microwaved pasta, old zucchini, and chicken tenders as hard as a rock and tasted like one. Even the bread was very stale. It wasn't just me who thought the food was bad but a lot of customers from my group we're also returning/throwing away their food. The only good thing was the slices of meat. It wasn't that great but compared to the rest of the food, it was the only thing I ate. The ice cream was OK. It was kind of like one of those foods that doesn't really have a flavor, but you know what the flavor supposed to be so you just kind of put it in your mind that it taste like that when you eat it? Another reason i'm giving 2 stars is because the servers were nice and polite and generally doing their job. I would recommend this place for maybe like a funeral? Not for a dance or a wedding😬👎 plus there was a lot of sandflies around, and they did try to cover it with a cover sheet, but bugs were still entering inside.

Absolutely beautiful venue! Perfect in every way! The food is delicious! The manager and waitstaff were very attentive to every need that arose. They were friendly, courteous, and caring. This venue is highly recommended!

I recently had my daughters bridal shower at Falconwood. I live in Maine and had to find a place in the Grand Island, NY area ( my daughter and her fiancé live there). When inquiring with Falconwood, I spoke with the coordinator of this facility. She was very abrupt and not friendly at all. My daughter really likes the facilities of Beaver Island and with very few options in that area, we decided to book the shower at Falconwood even though I had concerns with how the coordinator presented herself.

We planned the shower one year before the actual date. We corresponded through e-mails to plan exactly what we wanted.

When traveling from Maine to Grand Island ( an 8 hour drive) we had everything ready in our vehicles to drag out and decorate the entire place. We arrived at 10:00AM ( the time we were told we could get into the facility) for an 11:00 AM start time for the shower. We had close to 65 expected to attend.

When we started to empty out our bins to begin decorating, the coordinator was nowhere to be found. There were two very young gentleman that had come out to assist, but they were not given any direction on where we were to put our many items that were to decorate, place settings etc.

Twenty minutes into our very rushed decorating job due to time restraints, the coordinator came out and spoke very rudely to myself and others trying to help decorate. She told us we were putting things on the wrong tables, told us that she was messaged an hour before our arrival time and that she was sleeping and didn’t appreciate being messaged as early as we did. The coordinator’s assistant ( female) came out and was also extremely rude to us while setting up and then continued to be rude to the guests in attendance.

The food was mediocre
several guests complained that the food was served cold. I had agreed to paying for an unlimited amount of water, soda, coffee, tea that nobody drank because most wanted the mimosa bar. I asked if I am able to take the drinks that were on the table that I paid $600.00 for and the coordinator snapped at me and said I am not to take any of it and that it all stays at the venue. I wanted clarification on why I couldn’t take what I paid for and that the guests didn’t drink any of it and she got extremely defensive.

The coordinator is highly unprofessional in every way and it was very clear to myself and to the guests that she is burnt out with her career choice and not happy.

We were not supplied a trash can at all throughout the entire event and at the end of the function we were told we had to clean the tables off and break down the balloon arch ourselves. I had to find bags amongst our own belongings to try and collect trash. Finally a young gentleman who worked for the coordinator brought us out a trash can and helped us clean up the tables.

I was thoroughly disgusted with the poor attitudes of the coordinator and her assistant throughout the entire event. I paid for the entire event and was so disrespected from the beginning of planning all the way to the very end when the assistant said “ those balloons being popped from the balloon arch better be getting picked up and thrown in the trash”

My daughter ( the bride) had a wonderful bridal shower with all her friends and family and I didn’t complain once to the coordinator and her assistant for their extremely rude attitudes so that my daughter could have a magical time.

I do not recommend having any function at this facility with the coordinator that is in charge at this time. She has been there way too long and her attitude...

I had the pleasure of having my wedding here just recently and would like to give my feedback on our experience here at The Falconwood! The Ceremony on the Beach was a great start to a beautiful reception. We had a great experience with the staff and Venue. Tammy, our Wedding planner/coordinator, was nothing less than excellent; she ensured everything ran smoothly from start to finish, and it showed. She ensured everything ran in a timely fashion, was a pleasure to work with, and zoomed around getting things done as efficiently as possible. Our server Kayla who took care of the head table, was nothing less than perfect; she took care of us hand over foot, was super kind, and ensured we had nothing less than outstanding service from start to finish! Let's talk about the food. I've been to many weddings, but none of which I walked away and said, wow, that steak was cooked perfectly. I've had previous banquet experience and know what it's like when cooking for a large crowd. The chef killed it with the dinners; nothing was overcooked, perfect medium rare, and everyone truly enjoyed their meals. The Charcuterie display was a hit; we added a protein and did half shrimp and half sliced meats. Everyone complimented the freshness and quality of the shrimp and truly enjoyed the whole package. Thank you, Falconwood, for making our wedding an extra special day; we...
