This pool overall is good. Was there today and kids really enjoyed it. The splash/sprinkler area is really nice and has allot to do for the kids. The middle pool has a beach entry depth which is nice as I gradually goes to 4 ft. There’s also a big advanced swimmers pool.

Although I have to say, today was 90 degrees & sunny but the water was freezing, we took our children out the water atleast 4 times today to wrap them in towels because they were shivering and their lips were turning blue.

That being said, the three pools are awfully separate from one another. I understand the advanced pool (6ft -12ft) being tucked away in the back of which is fine but im talking more about the layout as far as the main pool for kids and the splash area.

I was there with my sister and our kids, we had 5 kids in total, two of which are in strollers. I found it pretty hard to keep an eye on my youngest(3) who preferred the splash area and my oldest (5) who preferred the main pool as the areas are very separated & out of view from one another. The happy medium would have been to sit between the two pools but the layout is made of steps with umbrellas which is great but very unpractical for us with strollers as we didn’t want to hit people with them to haul them up and down the steps.

So the only place we were able to settle our things was at the deep end of the main pool, which unfortunately has no clear view of the splash area. Same Vice versa if we would have sat in the grass by the splash area.

Overall nice pool but impractical for moms with more than one child...

I recently visited this park, and I must say, it was an incredibly enjoyable experience. The convenience of the location makes it easy to access, and the huge play area for kids is a standout feature. My children had an amazing time exploring all the equipment, from slides to swings – there’s so much for them to enjoy!

The swimming pool is exceptionally clean and well-maintained, which is always a top priority for me. The lifeguards are present at all times, ensuring that everyone stays safe while enjoying the pool. I noticed that they were also very helpful, ready to assist with any queries or concerns.

Another great aspect is the ample parking available, so there’s no need to worry about finding a spot. Additionally, the high security of the area made me feel at ease, knowing that my family was in a safe environment. The overall atmosphere was calm, and the staff were friendly and approachable.

I highly recommend this park to anyone looking for a family-friendly, safe, and enjoyable place to spend the day. It truly offers everything you need for a relaxing...

This review is about Sprain Ridge Park as a place to hike, not the pool or sports/picnic facilities. The park occupies a moderately rugged and rocky spine running North-South between the NY Thruway and the Sprain Brook Parkway. It is crisscrossed with trails designed for mountain biking, but these trails are also good for hiking. The up and down nature of the terrain differentiates the park from the better known but flatter trails like the County Trailways and the OCA. The mountain biking layout with numerous turns and switchbacks means that the uphill portions tend to be easier than typical trails meant for walkers, i.e. not that much straight up the hill. As a result these trails are great if you want to burn some calories but don't want to endure long uphill slogs. You'll get some nice views from the ridge top, and most of the trails are well shaded, making it a pleasant place to be on hotter sunny days. There is ample parking and trailheads are located on the lot edges. I gave it one less star as only some of the main trails are clearly marked.

Sprain Ridge trails are made for biking and walking. Some trails are better for mountain bikes, especially the winding ones. The park offers pools, barbacue areas, restrooms and parking. The trail paths are easy to find and follow. The park is dog friendly and there are plenty of garbage bins on or around the parking areas.

Not the most I interesting park when we went. Still nice though. Probably better in the summer the have a pool and looks like they are building a second one. Lots of dirt bike tracks on the trails, which probably isn't legal but the trail flows like a track. Would be nice for mountain biking.
