The pool is very convenient at a low cost; especially for Guilderland residents. There is a small (perhaps 25' diameter) kiddie pool along with a large pool for everyone that includes several shallowish areas (less than 6'), a diving board section, and a spot for laps. The pool deck is showing it's age with some cracks and settlement of the concrete slab and weeds in the joints. My biggest issue, though, is the locker rooms are way too open for comfort. You can see one of the benches in the locker room from where you pay to get in, and the other bench is right in front of the sink mirrors so anyone walking by can get the reflection. There are some shower stall areas, but other than the handicapped shower, I didn't see benches convenient for changing. All in all, this is a good facility that provides a great value on a hot day. Open until Labor Day, today was the last day...
Read moreA really nice community park with a large outdoor pool and kiddie pool. There's also a huge playground set further into the park with options for both older and younger kids (the play gym for the older kids is pretty intense--closest thing I can liken it to is an obstacle course!). A pretty cool water table (with pump-action running water) is also available at the playground, which is awesome for hot days. Plenty of picnic/grilling sites are around the park, and there's at least two large pavilions available for reservation. Parking is adequate, and the bathrooms are clean and in good working order that I could see. My family will definitely be back for another fun day at this park!!! *Entry into this park is free for Guilderland/Altamont residents (the pool does have an entry fee though)--just be prepared to show your ID proving...
Read moreHad to pay $20 to enter the park, with a separate fee if we wanted the pool. Got to the playground which would have been awesome except it was COVERED in BEES. They were everywhere, except the climbing structure. We played on the climber, but the little climber had broken supports so my 2 year old almost fell. We tried the big climber and it was too big for her and her big sister. We decided to go for a walk, and had to download a park map from the website since none were available on entry or posted around the park. Trails were not marked super well, but we were able to figure it out. Upon leaving, there was no one in the booth to report our problems to- so had we come an hour later we wouldn't have had to pay for that malarkey. Not a...
