Western Turnpike Golf Course — Local services in Town of Guilderland

Called 3 hrs in advance for tee time for one person and was quoted a price. I Showed up on the course, the front desk person HERB/ very old and combatitive old man with attitude, was so incompetent that 1.he had no record of the tee time???horrible communication among staff!! 2. And charged me for two person without senior discount and scolded my mother and said “you have to tell us because we cannot ask.” when I called way in advance and was given an “EXACT” 3. Refused to cancel transaction on request and Refused to give receipt upon transaction. 5. Forgot to charge a merchandise and tried to Charge me again without providing receipt and details of the transaction6. Very rude rude and rude when I demanded for a receipt to figure out why the charge was twice the quoted price and why the senior discount was.not applied like it was quoted. No apology and gave me an attitude. No remorse and apology for 1. Lack of communication among staff 2. Not paying attention during transaction. 3. Doubling charging twice and not give a receipt. When You are there? Pay extra attention and 1. Do not trust the staff when they give you a tee time. Your tee time is not guarantee. 2. Be careful and pay attention because they will over charge you and blind side you. CHECK YOUR RECEIPT THREE times or you will get overcharged 3. Expect in competency and rudeness. 4. Senior citizens! Please stay way. He was very very very rude to my mother. I wanted to make her a regular here and congratulate on being a grandmother but that old fuxxer HERB was so rude and combative with my mother and no apology when demanded an apology SENIOR CITENS and woman and Asians. Please stay away. Herb discriminates again Seniors, Asian, and woman I just became a father and my mother a grandmother 3 days ago and wanted to treat her to a special occaion and the rude old man Herb totally ruined a special moment for us. I am never never never going back here ever! If you want hospitable and generous staff who is competent in 3 rd grade math? Instead of apologizing for his rudeness and stupidity and incompetent management of staff? He kept making excuses and accusing us and being rude to us. This is not the place. Soaring Over Western Turnpike Golf Course

We recently had the pleasure of capturing the stunning landscapes of Western Turnpike Golf Course in Guilderland, NY.

As a premier public course, Western Turnpike is known for its beautiful greens and challenging layout, and we were eager to see how it looked from above.

From an aerial perspective, the course is even more impressive. The sprawling fairways wind through mature trees, and the strategically placed sand traps and water hazards create a dramatic visual contrast. Our drone flights allowed us to showcase the course's topography, highlighting the subtle elevation changes that can be hard to appreciate from the ground. We focused on capturing the unique character of each of the three nine-hole courses, especially the dramatic views of the 18th hole as it rolls toward the clubhouse.

This visit was a great reminder of how aerial photography can reveal new perspectives on familiar places. The images we captured at Western Turnpike Golf Course not only highlight its natural beauty but also its intricate design and layout. We're excited to share these photos with the community and showcase the course in a way that has never been seen before.

Played here 2 times and have had similar experiences both times. Old guy up front had an attitude both times. Won’t let you pay until your entire group is together in front of the register which makes less than zero sense. Had 3/4 of us waiting in club house for several minutes waiting to get our carts (have fun walking to the range and back for no reason).

The first time playing here there was a line of three foursomes ahead of us when we arrived at the tee box. As others have stated, old man at register won’t let you play or gets mad when if you play past 8:00pm. Don’t go here if it’s after 5pm.
