Madison Theatre — Attraction in Town of Hempstead

This theater has a full program from smooth jazz, swing, rock n roll, classical, comedy and plays. We just returned from the Christmas Nutcracker ballet with live orchestra. Very enjoyable. A warning if you've long legs the front row in the balcony (row AA) has much less leg room than the rows behind it. Our granddaughter's dance competition was held at the theater. The molloy campus is beautiful & we got to spend some time outside since the weather was nice. The theater seating is comfortable & plentiful. The restrooms clean & the food court offered many healthy choices & although we did not eat there our daughter & granddaughter had wraps & said they were very fresh & tasty. The Madison Theatre is a wonderful, intimate, cozy venue located on the campus of Molloy College, soon to be Molloy University. We particularly love it because they offer multiple smooth jazz shows during the year with some of our favorite artists and it never disappoints. They also offer a senior rate so we save a few dollars to put towards drinks before the show. Our only complaint is that the seating could have had more leg room!
