The Sands on Lido Beach — Attraction in Town of Hempstead

This place was truly spectacular.

I threw my mother's 50th birthday here, and it was the most magical experience! First of all, this place is truly unique, because only one party is there at a time, which we loved, because it insured our party was paid attention and catered to the whole evening. The dining room for the cocktail hour is GORGEOUS. The buffet that we picked out had truly phenomenal food, and the bar area was one of the prettiest I have ever seen. The entire staff at this location is so friendly, and all the guests loved the food. When it came time to venture into the party room, the results were better than I could ever hoped for. Went to the Sands for New Year's Eve with a bunch of friends. Sat at table four and they served dinner to everyone else in the room except 7 people at table four. This was my first time going out and spending money on a New Year's Eve Celebration, and to have them tell me that it is a staging issue and have the waiter walk away after I ask him where is the food for the rest of the table. First folks to purchase tickets for New Year Was confirmed for the table we wanted near our favorite band. Not only did we not get the seats we were promised they couldn't even seat us anywhere near.
