Beautiful beach not too far east from Long Beach. The sand is white, fine and clean. Family spot that I never find too crowded even on holidays. The mushrooms by the parking lot offer lots of space to grill and have large get togethers. There are volleyball nets, basketball courts and a playground as well. Great beach I come all the way from the city

Price extortion for NYS residents outside of Nassau. $25 to park and walk-in fees apply. Best time to come in after 5pm when they stop fee collections. Beach is nice, parking lot is smaller than Jones & Robert Moses. People here are polite. Can't give it 5-stars-review since they're milking $$$ people coming from NYC/Suffolk -- typical Long Island NIMBO. Otherwise, nice beach...

I've been coming here with my kids for over 20 years now and it's still a great place. The facilities are limited for now due to Covid-19 but we still spent the day here today. If you aren't a resident of Hempstead the entry fee is $50. Residents pay $10 for cash and a bit more if you charge it. In general you get a mix of people here, it's reflective of the residents...
