From the moment you set foot on the Popolopen Torne Trailhead in Highland Falls, NY, you will know you are in for a memorable experience. And you won’t be disappointed! The journey to the summit is nothing short of spectacular, and you’ll be thrilled to share the exhilarating adventure that awaits any outdoor enthusiast daring enough to take on this trail. First off, the ascent is a pulse-pounding thrill. The 45-degree angle steep slopes offer a challenging yet utterly rewarding climb. As you scale the heights, the raw beauty of nature combined with the physical exertion made for an intoxicating mix of adrenaline and awe. The path, while demanding, is invigorating, and it's this very steepness that adds to the sense of adventure and accomplishment. Navigation on the trail isn't a worry - blue square markers are your faithful guides, ensuring you're always on the right path. And when the going gets tough, strategically placed ropes are at the ready to aid your ascent. These ropes aren't just functional; they add an element of rugged, hands-on excitement to the hike, making you feel like a true mountaineer. Reaching the top, the views are simply breathtaking. Panoramic vistas unfold in every direction, rewarding your efforts with a visual feast. The sense of triumph as you gaze out from the summit is unparalleled. The landscape is a canvas of nature's finest work, and from this vantage point, you feel like you're part of the masterpiece. The hike itself is, without a doubt, amazing. The Popolopen Torne Trailhead offers an experience that is both physically challenging and visually rewarding. It's a place where the journey and the destination are equally enchanting. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or someone looking to push your limits, this trail is a must-visit. To anyone considering a visit - don't hesitate. Lace up your boots, grab some water, and head to Popolopen Torne. The trail awaits you with its steep slopes, its guiding markers, its helpful ropes, and its stunning summit views. This isn't just a hike; it's an adventure that you'll reminisce about for years to come. Definitely, without a shadow of a doubt, recommend!!! #PopolopenTorne #HighlandFallsNY #HikingAdventures #GetOutside #TrailReview #MustVisit

About a 50 mins drive from Queens New York. The hike is a moderate 30 minutes, it will have your calves burning and heart pumping if you are not as fit as me. The view from above is breathtaking. Definitely worth the climb. Hikers come back down the way they went up. Our group took the short steep way down, let's say I sprained my ankles, my own fault. But got to soak it in the icy waters of the stream flowing below. Didn't see any restrooms in the area. Bt then again you are in miles of forests.

Amazing hike leads to amazing views! We almost did not see the trail beginning but it’s near the parking and upwards. You may do it clockwise and anti-clockwise to complete the loop. One side of it has many huge boulders that requires rock scramblings. Not a moderate hike one side and the other one has stew climbs. Saw people bringing pets. On the top, the view is great with the river and the bridge and Torne monument...
