Awesome hike, a rocky scramble with lots of large stones that you can walk on top of. Not long but has some very steep climbs, there are even climbing ropes near the top to help you get up the last few inclines. Not recommended for small kids or dogs.
The monument itself is a collection of painted rocks and small objects honoring those who have fallen protecting our country. If you wish to honor someone close to you, I am sure that you can contribute your own memento. The view is spectacular, of course, and there is lots of space to walk around...
Read moreSo far only did the beginning loop with the monument, not the full 4.6 mile loop and it was a short hike.. plenty of space at the top to sit and enjoy the view. I definitely plan on going back as it was overall a GREAT hike. I saw younger children and dogs hiking it as well so the rock scrambles are not that challenging.
