Salt Point Natural Area — Attraction in Town of Lansing

Really nice park on Cayuga Lake to take a stroll, launch a boat, fish, or just sit and enjoy a sunrise or sunset. It is less crowded than its neighbor Myers Park and that is a nice added benefit. There is a small parking lot when you first get there that can hold at least 10-12 cars. Park there if you can. The next area to park, closer to the lake, is on a really rough patch of road with lots of speed...

Salt Point is a nice little park on Cayuga Lake, with a rock beach. Excellent for birdwatching. There are also well kept walking trails through a habitat meant to sustain monarch butterflies. (Take caution if you're allergic to milkweed and other pollens!)
