Day Road park is a fantastic place to bring children to play. The park is alway filled with children of all ages. The walking trail is not too long and good for a quick walk. The playground for the older children could use some fresh wood chips(especially under the swings and at the base of the slides)or replced with the same sponge like material on the toddlers side. A few of the activities on the toddlers side are broken as well as one of the climbing chains under the slide for the older kids. A few of the tables for adults to sit have a lot of water that accumulates under them and it gets very muddy. A few of the benches have a forward lean to them. There are soccer fields all around, and another open green space further down that serves as a model airplane airfield. However, there’s also a nature walk around the back lines with memorial trees, and a Santa cottage that’s open during the holidays. In the winter time the Santa's house is a excellent idea when you dont wanna pay 60$ at the mall for a picture with Santa .
