Parkside Drive-In — Restaurant in Town of Lockport

I tried this place twice. The first time I ordered a Zweigle white hot and macaroni salad. The white hot was very dry and the outside had very little color (barely brown). The Mac salad was basically macaroni and mayonnaise. The quantity of the Mac salad was about the same as two (2) supermarket sample sizes or an espresso shot cup. On my second trip, I just ordered the two cheeseburger special (advertised at the counter as cheeseburgs). Each cheeseburger came on a bun with 1 napkin each which was already unusable as the grease and juices were already soaked up into the napkins. The cheeseburgers were fine but nothing special, although they were juicy. There are no napkin dispensers to get more. You must stand in line to get more napkins. Also the only two condiments on display are ketchup and mustard which you must return to the front counter to dispense them. The place isn't horrible however it's not customer friendly as far as atmosphere and overall convenience. It just seems awkward to me. I think you get more bang for your buck at Texas Roadhouse, TGIF, or any other place that has a burger on their menu. I don't personally care for Applebee's however I'm told that they do make a good burger. Also, as I'm sitting here writing this review, the staff are openly complaining about the customers. I am a good 15 to 20 feet away and I can clearly hear them. I would say Parkside Diner is adequate at best. I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend it, especially after witnessing the inappropriate complaining...

It was super clean and has very friendly workers. Food was pretty good but the hamburgers really need some seasoning, garlic salt or salt and pepper or something. They didn't have much flavor to them. Fry's were great. They have a great burger bar where they offer fresh lettuce, tomatoes, onions and other condiments that you helped yourself to. We met the owner and he was very friendly and appreciative of our business.they have nice enclosed area in the back where you can sit enjoy your meal when the weather is cold and raining like it was the day we went. It's right across the street from Santa's house and a park. We will definitely come back but we'll probably order hot dogs next time. If you're in that area give it a try it's a new place and I want to see...

Originally the hours they had on their sign got to me because it said they closed at sunset which isnt a time you can operate a business by, but they took the sign down. I don't know if the review helped but I am glad to see they did that. Aside from that this place is great. The food is very similar to reids but it is always insanely clean and that is the one thing about reids that I can't stand. That place is filthy and falling apart. We needed a place near the park, especially if we are going to be adding more soccer fields. I'd love to see that corner turn into a sports park that can accommodate traveling soccer teams for a tournament perhaps? Parkside adds to the amenities. I hope they...
