Took the drive after checking the website to see prices and was under the impression that walking the garden would be free and was told I needed a reservation or could pay $35 for a hiking pass that would require a 2 mile hike just to get to the gardens wish that info was more clearly stated...

The flowers and the location were beautiful. We hiked 6.5 miles from the parking lot to the gardens then mountain house hotel, then spent 30 mins on the lake in a paddle boat and finally hiked up to the Sky...
