We did not actually get to climb Mohonk. If you follow the Google maps directions, it brings you to a gate where you must pay $35 per adult and $30 per child in order to hike. That would have been over $100 for my family. We drove around the mountain and ended up at the Pine rd parking area, where there is a trail to duck pond. Using the other trailheads you still must pay $15. We are from upstate NY and have never heard of such high prices to walk on land. We will pay state park fees, but over $100 for a hike...
