Ill start this out by saying that this company does do great work, and their products turn out wonderful. Whit that being said, they are WAY OVER PRICED. I have had 2 artist proofs framed by them and they were EXPENSIVE, BUT I expected that. Each was done with a color remark and were rather large, so although EXPENSIVE, I thought it was somewhat worth it. Moving past this, I had 2 Original certificates military school certificates that I wanted framed so I took them there because I know their work is nice. The normal lady was not there so I asked the lady that I dropped them off with to call me with a price. I received a call today stating that they were done. I went in to pick them up and she said the price was $250.00 each....EACH. Total of $450.00 for 2 8.5X11 Certificates with one 4" drop cut. This is crazy. When I said the price was way too high, she argued with me, told me she was having personal family issues (which I empathize with) and she couldn't deal with this right now. Really....this is a business, not my problem. I expected $100.00 a piece, not $250.00. And then she said you wont find it cheaper, and basically dared me to try. Well, I found it WAY cheaper. Simple black frame, and double matte (silver and Blue) with a drop cut, 2 companies so far have quoted me $50.00 and $77.00 each thus far with little to no work. So take the lesson learned from me and shop around. You can get just as good of work elsewhere. This was such a terrible experience I am selling both my prints from them as I want nothing to do with this organization. Beautiful artwork, but when treated this way, you can only take so much. BUYER and CONSUMER BEWARE, NOT WORTH THE...
Read moreIf I could give zero or negative stars I would. BE AWARE, BE VERY AWARE OF IT'S BUSINESS PRACTICES. My husband entered into a consignment agreement with Thunder Mountain for two pictures in the fall of 2020 when we moved to AZ as part of an estate he was charged with. One sold quickly and he received his proceeds in a fairly timely manner. TM keeps 40% (remember this).
The other took until Nov/Dec of 2022 to sell as far as we know because he reached out in that time frame to see if there had been any interest. Only then was he told "oh it sold for $825." Long story short he didn't receive his proceeds until March of 2023 because he kept getting every excuse in the book and was very unprofessional in responding as to why the funds weren't sent. If I could share the emails here I would.
It took my calling directly and within a week he finally received a check in the amount of $475 along with a note that read "Now leave me alone." Remember the 40%, well this total is $20 short what they owed him. He brought this to their attention and asked them to donate the $20 to a local food pantry since it's not worth trying to deal with Thunder Mountain any longer. The response was "THAT IS WHAT YOU ARE GETTING I AM DONE LEAVE ME ALONE THAT IS WHAT YOU MADE." This is a breach of contract so it makes us wonder if they are experiencing financial difficulties.
I want to make sure that everyone is warned and understands what you may be getting into when dealing with Thunder Mountain. Not professional, down right rude, doesn't honor contractual commitments and isn't good at math. Such a shame because we like supporting...
Read moreI have not only purchased many paintings from the gallery, but had them frame the paintings. Linda, the owner was extremely helpful in selecting frames, and she did an awesome job with framing my paintings, as did Mary, her assistant. I will never go anywhere else again. I can't reccomend them highly enough! By the way, the artist is Thomas Schmidt, who has his wildlife paintings exclusively at this gallery. I'm a big fan...
