During my full fall semester at SUNY Oswego, I had an enriching and multifaceted academic experience. I enrolled in courses such as Intro to Global Studies, Foundations of Sustainability, 20th Century World, Cultural Anthropology, and participated in the College Community Orchestra. These classes offered a comprehensive understanding of global issues, environmental sustainability, historical contexts, and cultural dynamics, while the orchestra provided a creative outlet and a sense of community. The faculty’s commitment to personalized mentorship and immersive, hands-on education greatly enhanced my learning experience.
Beyond academics, SUNY Oswego’s vibrant campus life and supportive community stood out. The university offers over 200 clubs and organizations, fostering an environment where students from diverse backgrounds can connect and grow. I joined around four or five clubs during my time there, and one of my favorite activities was ice skating—it was not only fun but also a great way to bond with others and enjoy the beautiful winter season. The picturesque lakeside campus provided stunning views and an inspiring setting for personal and academic development. Additionally, SUNY Oswego’s emphasis on affordability ensures that students can pursue a world-class education without excessive financial burden. Overall, my time at SUNY Oswego was intellectually stimulating and personally fulfilling, offering a well-rounded...

There are honestly times I would say you're better off finding things out yourself. The title IX office truly cares about their students, so that's great. However, my biggest issues involved some of my times in the dorm, it almost feels like some of the hall directors look at us like children and I have had multiple issues with their disciplinary program, such as being the only person found responsible for an incident that involved multiple students some of whom lived in the same room as me. One hall director was very rude in another incident. I'm not saying this school is bad in any way shape or form, I've recieved a good education, but there are some issues here that will test your patience. Ever since I moved off campus I've been happy as can be because I no longer have to...
