This place is the worst. Needed rear bearings replaced – 4 hour job. “We can do it Tuesday if you drop it off” Dropped it off Monday night. Get a call Tuesday at 3:30pm saying I need backer plates for $580 and the parts won’t arrive until Thursday. They refused to reinstall the existing ones. I agreed because I had no choice at that point because they claimed the axles were already pulled off. Thursday comes around and I get a call that my right rear speed sensor is broken ($200). Okay…so they broke it trying to remove it and wouldn’t own up to it. I know this because I replaced the left rear speed sensor a month prior and broke it trying to get it out. Surprisingly they just filled the hole with grease and thought it would be fine without it. I called for an update at 4:45pm on Thursday fully expecting it to be ready by the end of the day. “It’s still on the lift, we will call you when it’s done” I heard nothing until I called on Friday for an update at noon. “It just came off of the lift”. So I was out a vehicle for the whole week! When I went to pick it up, the battery was totally dead. I asked him for a jumper pack and was told that it started hard this morning too. Not sure why because the battery was replaced two weeks ago! Nice try. I picked it up and drove down the road to find that my rear end was shuttering, brake light was on, speedometer no longer worked and the fuel/mileage no longer worked. I called them back and turned around so they could fix it. I was greeted by an aggressive mechanic (the owner nonetheless) “WELL WHAT SPEED DID YOU FEEL THIS VIBRATION?!” I said “Around 30mph”. “YEAH THE PROBLEM IS IN THE FRONT, I HEARD IT TOO” After a few volleys of BS, he stormed off and took the truck for a test drive with another mechanic. They returned and back in the bay it went and the rear left tire came out and had issues. Again, nice try. No sense of urgency, no people skills, no care about customer service. This place was recommended to me by multiple coworkers of mine and I am very glad I switched from my previous mechanic in the area. Pen Fair is fantastic. Their pricing is very reasonable, the service is always impeccable. They pointed out a problem from our previous garage and made sure we were taken care of properly without any hassle or extra charges.

Ron is so friendly on the phone and is very transparent about whatever is wrong with my car (I really beat her up) so that I can be an educated consumer and we can work together to get her back in shape. He explains the job in a way anybody can understand.

I grew up with a few family members in the industry so I know a good garage when I'm at one. These guys are busting at the seams with business because they are simply the best and deserve the utmost recognition...

I got a flat tire while in a parking lot across the street from Pen Fair. I looked up their number and called, explained to them that it was completely flat. They walked over to my truck with a portable air pump, filled my tire just enough so that I could drive it over to their shop. Chris then plugged up the hole and filled my tire up. This entire process was at most 25 minutes from the time I called to the time I was back on the road. After Chris explained to me how big the gash was and what to expect, I asked him how much do I owe, and he said not to worry about it. I couldn't believe the absolute kindness from this gentleman and Pen Fair; I literally teared up. Thanks to this amazing man and auto shop, I was able to get myself and my children home safely.
